  1. Count me in....I'll be there Hey Dunegirl said she was gonna make Sandfest....
  2. Does anyone out there have a flamed stator cover they would want to part with? I have some nice things to trade if your interested. PM or email me either one is ok with me. Thanks.
  3. Thanks 01banshee for the quick response. This lighting kit looks really cool and I can hardly wait to see what they look like on my Shee.
  4. I won a new Torch light kit on ebay to replace my stock banshee lights. They are suppose to be around three times brighter than stock. In the description of the lights it was mentioned that this lighting kit can be used with stock stators. If my stock stator is weak at all will this cause a problem? Just trying to look ahead before the installation.
  5. SOS....yip I agree. I got my riding pants to close while toting my wife at LS in Oklahoma and got that black from my pants on my pipes too. Just give it several coats of polish and your good to go.
  6. LOL....a 69....LMSAO. Yip its a case saver. I have one too..they're nice to have. Be careful putting it on, i made the small mistake of sitting on my butt with my legs under the bike and ended up with fluid all over me....LOL.
  7. Banshee are a high performance machine and with all that high RPM flying through the motor and external parts being maxed most of the time, it pays to keep an eye out for troublesome parts, I'm sure you already knew all that though. I use to own a 1992 Yamaha Warrior and rode that machine from 1996 til three years ago. I ended up buying this banshee I have now off of my friends brother. I didnt know his brother owned a Black and Red 1997 banshee and and thats the color I was looking for. His Brother wanted a four stroke and I wanted a two stroke,..so we swapped and I booted him $600.00. I THOUGHT HE WAS NUTS!!! I'm the third owner of it. I have had mine for around three years and its the first Banshee I've ever owned. The previous owners that had my machine rode it some , but not alot. Two of my friends owned banshees in 1996 and I wanted one but they seemed to cost more than the amount of money I had saved up. I can remember some things that needed attention when I got it. I wasnt a member of this HQ yet and I knew nothing about banshees...., heck.....another friend of mine came over a week after I got it and watched me ride around the yard. I pulled up to him and said " heck I can handle banshees this is a breeze". He laughed and eyed my machine alittle and said "When you go back out there dont try to shift it like your old warrior take the RPM up higher before you shift." Everyone here reading this post probably knows what happened next. I went back out in the yard made a few passes by my friend and as I went by he gave me the Thumb reving sign ....and thats what I did. Now remember....I rode four strokes so I hammered it like a fourstroke......I lasted 2 seconds in the Shee powerband and filled my freakin shorts. After getting use to the pull of the Shee....I was in LOVE!!!!! All that time I spent on my old warrior I admired the AWESOME looks of the Mighty Shee. My Shee wasnt plagued with alot of problems to start with , but there was things stock that was wore alittle. I just bidded my time and got the parts I needed, even had to give up some riding time with friends cause of my bikes down time...I wasnt sure how to put the parts on and my hands shook for fear of messing up my Shee. I found this site and started listening to alot of people on here. I still remember those HQers today. I admit ,...I had to take my machine to the stealership a few times over the last three years and fork the cash for their work, but gained their knowledge after they told me what it was that went wrong with my Bike. I have heard that some Shees are more tempermental than others and I'm sure that four strokes are the same way. I understand what your feeling,....I felt that way when had a small problem with just a black ground wire that went to my coil. I was new at that time to banshees and I was looking for something major and overlooked that wire hanging in front of my face as I looked around the motor area. After tighten the clamp on the end of the black wire I snapped it back on and WOOOOOOW .....Shee reved......My first experience as a Shee mechanic! Have your bike checked out by a good shop or we'll help you in anyway we can here. One way or another we'll get your Shee running like it should. We're here for you...man.
  8. If your running stock intakes, you might check to see if there are any hairline cracks. My intakes had a hairline weather cracking about a year ago and it ran fine till it warmed up and BLEH. After getting new intakes I installed them along with new plugs, then checked my slides in my carbs to make sure they were in sync. I ran my mixer screws in till they lightly seated and started with 1 1/2 turns out on each carb and adjusted little by little on each till I got smooth idle. Plugs turned out to be dark brown. I run 260 mains in 26mm carbs w/ open airbox at 1042 above sea level.
  9. Has the lock been turned in for finger print checks? I have mine locked up too and i havent slept good in three years. Its kinda scary riding around and a hwy is right across a field from you. All those cars going by could be the one watching your schedual each day. Thieves Suck!!! We work our butts off building up our hobbies and they help themselves to our progress.
  10. Hey Lee...What would it cost for the HQ store to carry Coffee cups with the different color banshees that have come out over the years?
  11. Gosh,...I got one complete seat that is Black and Red(non-skid) w/ Banshee on the sides and an extra cover that is Red and Black Tribal striped. Wish I could help you out..sorry.
  12. Hey!!! Thanks everyone for your help. My Shee is responding to my attempts after waiting a week. It took four kicks with the choke pulled half way.
  13. I'm selling some things off to to basically pay some small debts so I can start saving for a rebuild later on. I have a few things to list and hope to get them all posted soon. Everything from a complete RED and Black seat w/ Banshee on the sides (needs rear latch), and a RED and BLACK striped seat from ATVseatcovers.com in great shape, A Red banshee radiator cover w/ no cracks, and the Billet Boss Intake System that you just heard about.....and ETC. Its all in great shape with no tricks. Thanks for inquiring.
  14. Thanks for sticking with me on this everyone. I'm gonna try to get out of this house for a while and see how the compression looks. ......GOTTA HAVE THE SHEER BANSHEE RIP!!!! Oh ,...about my avatar pic...This will have to do till I get a better picture, hopefully a couple for the gallery.
  15. Yes its been about a year since I put my coolhead on and had the compression checked...Your right things can change alot in that amount of time. I'll check it out. I got to messing around one day and pulled the choke out half way and it started in 4 kicks after a week sitting. Thats not to bad...right?
  16. Oh....and I also have a UM Water bottle bracket with an extra tab welded on the bottom which has a sticker that says " IF YOU CAN READ THIS YOU JUST BEEN SMOKED". This bracket will be also included if you want it with the Boss Intake.
  17. I have pics coming to show what this Boss intake looks on a shee....cool as heck, but gotta sell it .. . I have the price listed lower than you can get it on ebay. This is the first time its been on my banshee so its not scratched or banged up. Comes with longer stainless bolts since this intake is thick. asking $115.00 shipped. Email or pm me and I'll send pics of it.
  18. Hey Yanks....I'm gonna just sell the Boss intake out right. Hope you dont mind.
  19. I think that I'm somewhere around 1042 above sea level pulling 110 on one side and 115 on the other. jetted 260 using 1 K&n filter setup with no airbox.
  20. Hows it going HolyMan! I got an email from him Sunday telling me the situation and he said that the rear hubs will be in the mail Monday, which would be yesterday. I'm thinking they might show up in my mailbox or UPS by the weekend. I hope to get the 89 rears that are coming from him and my front hubs powder coated red...I think it will look trick inside my aluminium wheels. I've had the Shee about three years now and its amazing how much a person can put in these Banshees. I know that my wife wants to strangle me! Thanks man, for checking on me. Merry Christmas..if I don't get to talk to you before the weekend.
  21. After the arm healed...I would find this kid again and pull up next to him. When he says are you back again ....say 1) YIP 2) Wait for his invatation to drag 3) Rev before the start and make him shit all over himself 4) EAT HIS LUNCH!!!! LOL
  22. WHEEEEW!!! Now thats close....ugggghhhh! good story.
  23. Good story , man! Glad your ok...I wheelied up a hill next to a friend of mine and I hit a grass clob sticking out of the ground with my bearing carrier which put me in a freakin hand stand on my bars. When I got stoppedI looked back to see what I hit and saw my friends laying on the ground laughing and singing circus songs. GOSH!!!
  24. EVERYONE......I'm writing this to let you all know that I recieved a personal message from the guy I bought the 89 rear hubs from. In my post I said it took a long time for him to respond and in this post I hope to clear this up. In his pm to me he wrote that he had lost a family member and it completely phased him out and apologized for any inconveinence. I can relate to this and I let him know that we are all here if he needs us. I lost my Mom at 18 and am now 38. Its something that follows you a long time and leaves an empty space that just cant seem to be filled. Remeber this guy and know he is good on his word. Even though it took some time for him to get with me, I didnt know that a loss of a family member was the cause....I am lost for words and am totally sunk at thinking that someone on here wanted to rip me off. Lee, if you can see this post.....I know its been since November 6th that I sent payment to him, but erase this or tell me how and I'll do it. Losing a family member is enough for this guy to deal with and I shouldnt let amount of time on what I bought from him weigh him down. Thanks to everyone who took time to read this and to the guy who lost his relative: Sorry, Man..... I hope you can accept my apologies and hope you pull through this loss,.....I know the hurt.
