Fmf Fatties Vs. Toomeys T-5 Or T-6
Klotzban1 replied to strokedpony's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I run the Gold Series Fatty w/ Powercore2 silencers, jets on 260 and it revs great. I drag alittle bit when asked, but usually spend my time testing my skill and testing my SHEES appetite for scaring the out of me. -
Ok Guys and ladies.......I'm Finally gonna make a reed cage purchase. This seems to be tough cause there are so many out there. I run stocks right now and want the best Flow of air for the Shee. Ive seen the Delta V force and its second coming..... and the G3 reed cage Kit and The Pyrimid and........ my stock cages everytime I work on my bike....LOL. My mods are listed below so you'll know what is on my Shee. My motor has never been ported. Its stock except what you see below for engine external add ons. Q :Who makes the Best Reed Cage Kit?

Thanks for the info.....everyone. I seen it on ebay and needed educated.

What is everyones opinion on a dual feed petcock by pinge? Do you think it would feed the carburators any better? They are saying it will pour more fuel.
-
THEY ARE RIGHT.....You should take a Flaptor with ease. If you shee runs alittle hot invest in a coolhead and it will drop your temp considerably. I went 22cc domes and it dropped my temp from 160 to 100. Pick a good set of pipes and air filter and be ready for a thrill of a ride. Also hang out with these guys on here and learn a load of useful info to use in your Banshee career.

I think the weight of the rider and how he shifts plays a big roll..My motor isnt built to a T. My Shee reacts different when I ride compared to my friends trying to ride it. Ive raced a raptor modded, and dont want to forget the Bombadier 650 and a honda kitted 440 ex with aftermarket rev limiter and a Hondas 450 dirtbike and there was no stopping the shee after it reved and hooked up. Ive heard that the new 450 revs like a 2 stroke. I would say ...my money is on weight difference of the persons and machine .....just by my personal experience. Make the banshee hook up and it will show you why it ruled all these years.

I run FMF Gold Series Fatties w/ Powercore2 silencers and love them. My interior motor is stock and I get a tremendous amount power through out the gears as long as you stay in the power band. No Bogging noticed. There alot of factors out there that makes machines run different.

I agree this site is one of a kind. Ever since Ive joined this site my shee has spanked other challenging quads. These guys who hang out here are smarter than NASA's best and the more I hang out here the more I learn about my beast of a Shee. I've watched all the other quads come and go and not one of them has the KILLER looks and SHEER Face smearing launch like Banshees. WELCOME TO BANSHEE HQ!!!!! BORN AND BRED FOR RIPPIN' TREAD...WOOOOOOHOOOO!!

Thanks for the reply everyone. I bought these A arms about 2 mths ago. I set them back through the winter till I could get nice enough weather for Quad time. Hey Gary,....sounds like your A arms are SUPER!! I'm also a certified welder and I believe in great looking welds with strength. Need anymore quality welders for your business.......LOL. Whats everyones opinion on Oshlins with piggy backs? I heard Axis is better. Banshees still Rule, Klotzban1

I weight around 150 and ride my shee in the woods and race strips of fields and do some jumping. Can I use my stock shocks if I extend them out for the use of the ASR +2 +1 A arms. Dont want to smack the ground.

Mine turns out like Banchettas plugs do ....a dark brown, and no blueing on my pipes. I'm running 260 which came with my FMF pipes and using klotz benol and 93 octane. I thought that my coolhead and domes would make a drastic change on my jetting....but all seems well.

I bought my Gold Series Fatties and Powercore2 silencers almost a year ago off of an auction on Ebay. The whole setup was new and never opened. It was from a company and not and individual. I remember the price being in the $400-425 range. I'm well satisfied!

Did anyone see the post saying "He wanted to get a piece of shit Banshee for a project?" Ive heard people say Banshees are faster than shit... but never a peice of shit.

ATVRider.......I know how you feel. When I was a kid at 13....I'm 37 now. I had neighbor friends that had quads and dirtbikes. Some had one of each model. I had a Baja 10 speed bicycle. Their parents were divorced and the kids got showered with gifts and stuff.Even $100.00 for a side present at Birthday time. It seemed to me that one parent was trying to win the kid over the other. Sure I got to ride some thanks to some friends of mine, but as I look back I see what my Dad done. He taught me that if you always had things given to you,..you wont appreciate those things as much as working for them. I now have owned my 1997 Banshee for 1 year and 10 months. Its not new...but its in great shape and nice. Alot of mods have been added and Its really a good feeling to know that I did this on my own,... like my dad had done for years. My friends that owned bikes and Quads at that time now see me riding this banshee and know how I got it. When you buy your own stuff,..you'll appreciate the things alot more. Hey 14..... If you got the quad working hard and saving...your ok. Do us a favor and Please Dont ride the roads. These kind of acts are showing quad riders as LAW Breakers. Enviromentalists want us to screw up, so they can ruin our sport. Each time someone is caught they keep track of it. Work hard, ride safe.....Spend wise!! Peace.
