  1. I'm using stock length. I can shuffle from 13/41 to 15/41 on this one chain.
  2. Aaight, here's an example. Banks Six Gun Pack = $1934 Six-Gun Tuner 4" Stainless Exhaust EGT & Boost Guage Advertised +138 /+231 Add an Intercooler and a High-Ram intake for another $1175 and up your hp/tq to +156/+275 Most people aren't going to install their intercooler and the Hi-Ram so add labor and the trouble to find someone to install it to that. What I'd do = $1150 Edge Juice Module (w/ Attitude +120/+290) Edge Attitude (digital display with EGT & Boost, has Tranny adjustments, Low boost fueling and fuel backdown for EGT control) 4" Stainless Exhaust (good for another 20 to 30 horses) AFE Pro Guard Intake = $275 Not included in above price, and will add another 25 horses. (Stage II not available for the 6.0 Ford.) You could swap the Edge stuff for a Diablo Programmer and an EGT & Boost setup and subtract $125 from that. So, take the extra money you saved from the Banks stuff and buy a set of wheels. And I guarantee 100%, there is no sacrifice in reliability. With the exhaust your over their hp/tq numbers and well over with the AFE Intake. I ran my 7.3 with similar mods and much more for 3 years and 80k miles and NEVER ONCE in the shop, no lie. Had added over 200 horses and almost 400 lbs of torque for the same cost of the Banks. As I said, I'm not saying Banks is bad, their products work well, but they are overpriced $/hp, and most of it is in the name. Well, that's my opinion anyway. I have other mfgs. that I deal with as well, but the above is just an example of how far your money can go.
  3. Have you emailed me? I hope not cause I ain't seen nuttin. As for dirtgirl, who knows where the hell she is, she said he to me on dunereview.com a month ago, but ain't heard nothin else. Man, I got the hookup on Diablo. 7.3 or 6.0, don't remember. They're within $30 of each other. Shoot me a pm with the motor and I'll get you some info. As far as Banks, my personal opinion is, they do a good job on building up the motor, but they have a lot of hype and add unnecessary parts that "backyard" driver don't need, and you pay a lot more for the hype. I can spend a half or maybe a little less and build something that will be just as fast. They do pretty good, you just end up paying for more than you really need with their "packages".
  4. If you need any help gettin that Excursion up to 100 faster, well much faster, let me know. I can help you out and save you loads of money, just ask boonman. Good luck and great choice. I'd love to have a big Ex.
  5. that's what i've been running.
  6. Graydon. It requires you to move the airbox back some. Good setup tho, runs pretty much the same. Some have said slightly more low end due to the longer tubes increasing the velocity. dunno tho, also heard there's not any real difference.
  7. I just don't know what to think...
  8. yeah, i don' tthink it's a pilot problem. more like a main or needle problem. could be the needle when transitioning off the main, and could be the main is rich. Experimentation my boy. Try going down on your main one size and if it clears up, there you go. If not, experiment with the needle. Now that you have porting, you might have to get a different taper to really run the way it should, something setup for your airflow more. Just a thought.
  9. me too
  10. I'll just add, I doubt I'll get there before 3 or so on Friday. 4.5 hours and probably won't leave before 10am. Maybe though, depends on txblueshee's lazy ass.
  11. 347, that last pic is insane. What is that a big f'ing chopper? Hard to believe that sucker will take off with that thing in her gut.
  12. Really, you can run just fine with the stock tires. You won't be killin anyone in the drags, and might not have quite the traction you'd have with paddles, but you can still have a lot of fun. So, don't feel obligated to buy paddles just for the one trip. In fact, go and see if you like it, if your coming back, then buy paddles. Isn't this supposed to be an "INFO" on who's coming only thread
  13. Don't soak them. Just use carb cleaner, a light brush, a blow gun and a roll of paper towels. Just spray it down, use the brush to get to hard to reach spaces or sticky stuff that's being stubborn. Spray cleaner in all the holes and use the blow gun to blow out the dirt and gunk and cleaner out. Use the paper towels to help wipe dirt off and dry at the same time. Same thing with the jets and needles. Spray them down and wipe the dirt and stuff off.
  14. Yes, go buy some paddles. Go to ebay and see if you can find some inexpensive tire/wheel combos already together. What I'd do, personally, is go ahead and go to RockyMountainATV.com and get some ITP SandStars mounted on Douglas .125s. Then you'd be set for life!!
  15. that sounds like the smart move right there. i don't think i'd be trying to shave, cut, file, or as Dave puts it, cobb on my head, i'd let the maker do it.
  16. yea, that's what i put in my machine. A Pro Design billet impeller. Flows better and won't compulsively break like the stocker. Pro Design Imepeller
  17. Try Sudco.com or CarbParts.com. Anyone that sells Tucker can get you some from there also and probably cheaper if they'll give you a "store discount".
  18. Grab bar is gone, as of today. I do have some spindles for sale in perfect condition.
  19. I worked for TIC (The Industrial Co.) for a few years outta high school as an electrician. Me and my boss were in charge of the temporary power on the job. We had to make sure that the workers had power, if they were moving welders or something, then we would have to wire everything up. Dunno if you guys do any work with them on jobs.
  20. its got a 39mm pwk bored out to 40mm. its a massive mofro. thats all gonna change cuz my engine is going off to be stroked 5mm and a wild port job. its gettin either a 40 or 44mm lectron carb with power jet. i cant fuggin wait. that's gonna be insane!! totally awesome, you have to get that bitch to little sahara sometime. i'm completely jealous. so what's that push the displacement to?
  21. Didn't know where you were from. There's a banshee in Gainesville, a little over an hour from Dallas, with pipes, coolhead, reeds and some other shit, think shocks and stuff. Looks like it's in really good shape. I've looked at it several times just for shits. I bet he'll take 3,000. I think it's an 01, but not sure. There's another that I think he'll take 2,500 for. It's a little older, but it also has pipes, coolhead and some other shit. Just for FYI. I'd be happy to meet you over there and look it over with you.
  22. Dave is a good guy. Also, I run Engine Ice and it's good shit, the combo of the head, using the ice and a new impeller really makes a good setup for the cooling system.
  23. led, can i ride one of your 400s??? Pretty please??? In the water, your only going about 12 to 15 mph depending on where your boat puts out the best wake. Really, the slower the better, but 12 is about perfect. 12mph on a shee is suuulllloooowwww!!! I hit 12 at idle. I can imagine there would be some sand, but with a decent rope you should be able to get away from it. I always seem to get these things off topic.
