You guys are all freaking wrong. Go with Yosh. They produce the best engine mods for the 400. Yoshimura has done extensive testing on the 400 quad and the motor that the quad was derived from. You won't go wrong, plus you can buy their pipes with three different materials to fit your budget, but they all work the same, just weight savings.

those will be my choice when the time comes. Galfers here as well. Whether you need the extension or not, the additional braking power is much needed. The difference is night and day. The Galfers have the T down under the radiator, rather than the mess of 2 lines coming off of the master cylinder, so keep that in mind. I think the Galfers are a tad more money, but worth it.

I'm in Texas as well. My shiz: '02 Banshee on original cylinder bore. Motor has never been opened and has 150lbs. LSR +2/+1 A-Arms ASR Tie Rods w/ Heim joints Durablue +4 adjustable axle Elka piggy fronts Elka rezzie rear Fattie pipes and PT Mid pipes that need refinishing Vforce reeds 35mm carb w/ Trinity manifold ProDesign Coolhead w/ 20 and 22cc domes ProDesign billet water pump impeller & cover ProDesign Pro-flow intake w/ Uni filter DG nerfs Denton steering stabilizer Custom widened foot pegs Stainless brake lines Tag T2 bars Moose handguards PRM Baja bumper PRM Baja grab bar Hella 500 lights Ricky Stator 200w stator lightened flywheel Billet Stator 3-piece cover Razr fronts w/ 85% tread Razr rears w/ 75% tread 4 or 5 front and rear sprockets All new brake pads, rotors are perfect NEEDS NOTHING, RUNS PERFECT! Starts up one or two kicks cold and first when warm. Can't beat this machine, totally awesome. Runs hard as hell, harder than other comparable machines, dunno why. Awesome low, freaking insane midrange and a powerful top. Runs with Toomey, CPI piped shees in the dunes and runs with XC bikes on the trails. Great all around that just flat flies. I know there's more shiz, but it's hard to remember all of it. I'm extremely intersted and will drive to discuss and look/let you look this weekend.

I've said that before also, being that I'm a general contractor, I deal with a lot of banks/mortg. brokers. The contact I once used that was totally unstoppable is now gone, they have since quit. Actually, it was a chick and she had a baby and quit working, so go figure. I don't really have one that I'd recommend at the moment. 99% of them f*ck you all around till you want to blow your f'in head off. Later.

Nice, where'd that come from??? Fellas, you have no idea how f'in dissappointed that i'm not gonna make it. I've been gone since last Thursday and just got home. There is no way that I'll be able to turn around and head out for another three days. I thought I'd be able to but my pops is havin some heart trouble and can't help much with my work, understandably. I need to be here to take care of some work issues and make sure my pops is alright. He's got a dr's appt this week. The day I left last week, he was in the hospital getting some blockages fixed up and he's got to go back in for more. Anyways, I was looking forward to this damn ride so long and now it's fucked. I only wish I could be up there having half the fun you guys will have. Oh well, f*ck it!

I third what they all say. With the dune port, your flowing a lot more all over, but way more at low/mid than you were, so your lean. Throw in an EEK needle and you'll be all grins. Like fixitrod said, you'll probably want to bump your pilot up a size or two as well. Get your needle from CarbParts.com. Just call them and they'll ship one out pronto. I just got one a few weeks ago myself. Good luck and let us know how it works.

Will altitude affect jetting that much?
sredish replied to jasonsb's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Altitude definitely affects jetting. If you take a bike jetted for sea level and take it to 3,000 feet, you could be fouling plugs cause your too rich. The rule of thumb I use is, 10% jetting change on the main per 1,000'. And adjust the pilot to idle properly. If you jet it for well above sea level, when you go back to sea level, you'll have leaned out and that can be dangerous so be careful. -
I also run fatties. They have great midrange and good top end as far as I'm concerned. I've seen dyno charts comparing Toomeys and Fatties, and the Toomies wich are known for being a more top end pipe, doesn't really sign off that much higher than the fatties, the peak is a little higher, but the Fatties have suprisingly good top end and enough low end torque to get you going quickly. They also respond to mods really well and better than a lot of others. You got a good setup there, keep it. Later.

good deal, i was running 310s with my fatties and stock carbs, from several that i've talked to they're all running 280s. I'll see how she runs but i might be a tad rich, no biggie. Cool, I'll let you all know how it works out.

Here's mine bro. Cascade style.

Simple, pull em and clean em.

I talked to Jet Hot and he said $75 a pipe and $20 to $40 for the stinger/silencers. So, what did you do to get $80 for the pipes racer? I think this is the route to take when I'm ready. So, know one's noticed any difference with the difference in heat inside the pipe? How does the heat compare on the outside of the pipes? Later.

Just FYI: the CD-R's worked. So, the CD-R's work and the CD+R's do not. Funny, didn't know there was a difference until you guys said something.

uuuummmmm..... no.

That's a deal you can't beat, for sure. Do you know if they take it down to bare metal for a complete refinish or just a little sand and go over. Hell, I guess I could give 'em a call. Thanks again. That's a sweet deal IMO.

Damn Faded, those look really good. So was that $130 per pipe or for the both? Those look very nice indeed. Thanks for posting the pics.

I'll be heading to Steamboat, CO tomorrow around 6pm, driving straight thru for 15 hours. I'm taking two friends up there. One has never been there and the other has quite a few times. I guided professionally for a little while and never really hunt them with a gun anymore. I have two 6x6s on the wall and don't really need any more bulls than that. I love the hunt, calling and tracking, and taking other people who have never been around these animals experience it for the first time. I'll be doing a little "shooting" with my camcorder though. I'll check in and let you know how it goes.

Good info guys. I would like to hear why it's bad so I can weigh that in, but I have heard quite a few good testimonials. I bought a set of PT Mids pretty cheap and they're gonna need refinishing if I decide to keep them after I try them, so I'm weighing what to do with them. I think ceramic coating is the best bet right now. I don't want to powdercoat them, cause I don't like black or any other color, chrome is the only look I want, and the ceramic coating is pretty close. In fact, if anyone has pics, please share.

They do suck.

and i've abused the hell outta it and love it.........i've broken a couple of ac's before. I was gonna say PRM also. PRM is all good!!

they come with a one button mouse, but this is my first Mac and I just hooked up my windows (two-button) mouse and it worked just like it did on a windows machine, with the right-click and all. So, I don't know why they don't just send a damn two button mouse. It must be the discs. I looked at the other ones I've tried (I've only tried two kinds) and they were both DVD+R. So, that must be it, didn't notice that before. I'll get some DVD-Rs and see if that works. Later.

Hey bro, post in one forum or the other. No double posting the same topic.

Maxxis Sur Trak They're lighter than most equal tires and work good in the snow and on the trail. Seriously good tire.
