I'm not real familiar with the 2-1 pipe and mods, but I'd imagine a woods port would work awesome with that pipe. My opinion, I would not be afraid to try it. I'm sure it'll help.

What I meant was, some machines have this problem when mated with the 2-1. I think it has to do with vacuum/air velocity into the motor not drawing enough fuel personally, but in this situation, the richer tapered needle will remedy this prob and you won't be able to keep the front end down my brotha!!

The thing is, he said WOT, and that rules out the air screw. That rules out the clip position, and leaves it all back to the main. The only way a needle will affect WOT is with the taper, that's why I suggested the EEK with a slightly steeper taper. If it's bogging and then picking back up at 3/4 throttle, then it sounds like the main is a little lean. You can try the 200 like he said and see if it works better, but if it doesn't, quit screwing around and do what I suggested. I just got done with 5 months of jetting, checking for air leaks, changing gaskets and orings and ended up with the EEK needle and finally got my power that I needed. Some machines often have problems with this. Later and good luck.

Get an EEK needle from carbparts.com. I was having problems with mine. I was using the richest main I could find, no air leaks, I mean NONE. Went to an EEK and back down to a 205 main and it runs like a scalded fucking mutt!!

The fifth or sixth mission will take you to the car shop and show you how to pimp it. Otherwise, look on the map in the lower right-hand corner just above the big highway. On the map, there's a circle with a wrench in it, that's the car shop and it's located under a bridge when you get down there. Not too sure on the sex appeal, buying new clothes helps also, as does tattoos. I've done both and mine's gone up to almost 1/4.

What??? Don't know where you read that, but whoever said that has never ridden a shee with one. For stock and midly ported machines, they'll produce great low end power, awesome midrange hit and better top than you'll have with stock carbs. A pair of 28s will probably have a little better top than the stockers but not as much low mid as you'll have with the 2-1. Keep in mind, the added benefit of easy tuning with the single carb setup as well. For you, I'd say get the 2-1 and a set of VForce reeds and you'll be extraordinarily pleased.

All banshees run differently. While I'm not saying I know he's running good with 290's, I will say that if you take two banshees, side by side, with identical mods, virtually identical machines, one may be at 320 and the other could very well be at 290. So, just because he has 290 mains doesn't mean he's lean because another banshee out there is running 310s. I see that all the time. As always, a plug check is the unquestionable answer.
