  1. the internals of what? the carb? don't matter what the internals of the carb are so long as it mixes fuel and air at the proper ratio to have the banshee run good. just like stock is mikuni, but people go to keihen pwk carbs.... not sure what your talking about...
  2. PWK's ROCK!!
  3. I'd say the Fatties, the CPIs and the T5s would all three be good pipes to have on that motor, depending on your port and where/how you ride. If your a woods/trail guy, then the Fatties would work great on them. Dunes/trails is a T5 dream, and of course, duning/dragging is all about the CPIs. But, if you have all top end porting, then fatties might not mesh will with the porting, so find out the portwork, and match the pipe to your ride style and portwork. T5s are usually a good center of the road anyway.
  4. Then DO NOT get Kazaa, or you will be loaded full of spyware and a good potential for other problems. I've heard Kazaa light is spyware-free, but dunno. I'm on a Mac now and don't have those probs anymore, but I was using Bearshare (bearshare.com) for awhile with not too many probs.
  5. Don't see why not. I'm not familiar with that carb but it should perform similarly to the 35mm PWK. It's definitely worth a shot.

    What "Oh baby" section???
  7. Glamis sucks!!!!
  8. Buy your carrier from Stan, aka CottenEyedJoe, aka DuneDevilInc.com. Click on the banner at the top of the forum pages and it will take you to him, or send him a pm. You should do this because: 1) He's a site supporter, and we need those. 2) He's a good guy who stands behind his products. 3) His billet stuff is amazingly good looking and high quality. 4) His price is as cheap as you'll find anywhere, including Ebay and it's equal to products twice as expensive. 5) Because lots of people have used his products without problems. 6) Because we'll hunt you down and take you out... Ok, worth a shot anyway... Just go to Dunedevilinc.com or click the Dune Devil banner at the top of the screen.
  9. I'd rejet for sure, your changing the amount of airflow. As far as 8hp, don't think so fellas, maybe 1 or 2 is right, dunno, but it helps the throttle response a lot and really helps smooth the power. You probably see more of a power gain in the midrange area than the peak area.
  10. Would it even help for draggin'? I like the sounds of more bottom end and LOVE the one jet change. I know a larger "PAIR" of carbs would be better for draggin' but I wanted to know if a 2-1 would still help me a bit compared to stock But want to still be able to take my buddies in a straight line. Yes, it will probably drag better, because you'll have more low/mid off the line and still have more top than with the stockers, so basically, it'll start pulling earlier, and just keep pulling harder all the way up.
  11. I'm wanting to get rid of my ITP 9x9 HD rear wheels (the HD is ITP's way of designating the .190 version), and I'm wanting some front 10x5 to replace them so I can put some sand tires on them, or I'll consider a pair of front sand tires instead, provided they're in good/new condition.
  12. loco, stclark, found out my shock will be here THIS friday, so that'll be ready. Only thing I'll be missing this weekend is my cylinders.... I'm hoping and praying they'll be coming in the following weekend. We'll see...
  13. Happy Birthday man. It says your turning... 99 today... Damn, the older, the wiser they say...
  14. bansheeracer18's tryin to be funny by bumpin his shit over mine... don't be a playa hata!!
  15. Exactly, think of it as a hose spigot, and your finger is the needle trying to plug the spigot. The bigger your finger, the less water that's gonna spray on the ground (as in a leaner needle), the smaller the finger, the more water that'll spray (as in a richer needle). The needle opens and closes off the main jet, that's all it does, the taper, length, and diameter effect the transition from the pilot to the main, more or less. Dunno if the helps explain it.
  16. I think they're a little tall for mx, but in a XC environment, think they may be pretty kickass, a tad long maybe. I'm def no suspension guru tho. I'd give my left nut to run one on a desert course, man would that be fun as hell. For trails, I'm sure they'd work, but then why would someone pay that kinda dough just to play on trails.
  17. Do they make them for the banshee now? Am I missing something?
  18. I have a pair of 9x9 ITP .190 rears that have never been used, yamaha pattern. I want some polished 10x5 fronts or some front dune tires in great condition. I'll post pics later. Scott
  19. Nobody's asking shit, because no one wants you to get rid of it... I hate to see you sell it for pocket change, I'm sure it will work out. Hell, put it on ebay with a reserve of 3700.
  20. hmm jus wondering how you hit 85 in the sand with FMF pipes and K&N fiilter?? i can barely hit about 81-82 on the road with my set up...thats with stock gearing 278719[/snapback] gear up to a 15 front and you should see a nice increase.
  21. and sudahl is known for his long travel desert setups, they're designed to be flying across the baja at 90 mph and just eat it up. cruisin around at the dunes is probably not what they're really designed for. And be prepared to open your wallet if you find he is still making them. I agree. Watch it in slo-mo and you'll see the suspensions workin pretty good, he's moving through those bumps, the frame isn't moving too much and he's not being bucked around. You let a stock banshee hit it through there at that speed and I guarantee it won't make it past the 3rd or 4th whoop, at least the rider won't.
  22. They SUCK!!! Even if they were rebuildable, I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't put one dollar into the stock pieces of crap. I wouldn't even buy another set to replace them with. Go to Ebay and get some YFZ shocks and use them or upgrade to some inexpensive Works shocks. You will come back and thank us later.
  23. If you have the extra 100 bones, get the VForce no question. You'll be glad you did later. As far as the reed cage, I'm not really familiar with UPP's intake, but I imagine there's another gasket to use similar to the reed-cylinder side. And, is there a possibility that you have an air leak around that causing you to be using such a high main jet? If you lean at 350 with your mods, I'd look for an air leak. Use carb cleaner, propane (unlit of course), or something like that and spray the hell out of the intake and stuff to see if there's a change in the way it runs, if so, there's your leak.
