  1. Holy piston failure Batman.
  2. How far did you advance it? Don't be afraid to go up to +7. +4 is baby shit, you should at least go to +6 to really get much benefit, despite what others say.
  3. The stock port should not be in the 400s. Not even 380s, I wouldn't imagine. I think rocketboy had it right with the 330s / 340s. As far as starting, does it help to have the choke on or not? You could have 160 compression with those domes and the rings still be worn. You should try the check again and see how fast it leaks down. What pilots have you tried, all of em probably huh? What about a 30, that might work good for the clamp ons. You might need a tad richer needle running the clamp ons, but with stock porting, it should still work. The more you advance the timing, the harder it should be to start, although not by much. It took me to +7 to start to really notice a change, but it went from one kick to three or four kicks going from 0 to +8. Positive there's not an air leak as well, but you said no popping... What about the reeds, how are they?
  4. Your plugs will tell you if your jetted correctly or not. Run a few plug checks and see how the color is. You want a chocolatey color. Above all, your plugs are a direct link to how your motor is jetted. Scott
  5. Try calling Trinity. 877 FAS TOYS
  6. damn, I thought you were going to say... laid.... just grab a pair of vice grips and yank them muthaf*ckers out!!
  7. I could be wrong, but I think it's PWR.
  8. Ok, here's the deal. It's fairly fast but not instant. It usually works pretty good, but like Dave said, in a bad storm or something, it could go down temporarily. If you can't get DSL/Cable or any other wired high-speed, you can't beat it, but it's not a direct replacement for DSL or Cable. I'd choose a direct link over the sattelite any day, partly because it doesn't go down in storms and stuff, and because it's faster. Satelite isn't really that slow, but there's a lag before it goes, like the satellites are communicating. When my contract runs out, I'll be switching because it's now available locally.
  9. Looks more like the Grim Reaper....
  10. A Woods/MX port are pretty close. An MX port may have a tad more top, but with Gorr's port, it'd work awesome in everything from Woods to MX to Dunes. It will complement any set of pipes and use the pipes to dial in your powerband. I want to try mine with some T5's or I want my old Fatties back.
  11. The tankless water heaters aren't bad. They're not a replacement for std water heaters in regards to showering and such, but if all you need is some hot water out of a faucet some, then it should be fine. In our construction business, the only time we really use one is when the hot water has to travel a long distance and has the possibility of losing heat by the time it gets there. For example, if we have a water heater across the house and have to go through the attic across a large room to get to say... the kitchen sink, then we'll put one under the kitchen sink to service that sink. It should work great in a shop type application, as long as your not taking 45 minute showers or need perfectly boiling water, tho the ones we've used have been pretty darned hot. Another good thing is, it's not continuously running and heating all the time like a std tank would be, so that's a plus. Scott
  12. Well, I'll say my paddles have done nothing more than collect dust since the "spill", getting close to a year now. I would like to put them to use on the Honda some. See what kind of twins I can put a spanking on.... I'll definitely get up there soon. I got a couple buds that are wanting to make a trip up there also, so we'll get something going.
  13. Shit, I'd like to, but I'm actually heading 3.5 hours West to Cisco, TX for a race I have, or else I'd consider it. How's everything with that blue ball infection or whatever, is that why your taking the ex?? j/k
  14. Thats a common area. You should be able to tweak it back if it's not ridiculously bad. If you want to tear it down, which you'd end up doing with a new frame, you could get it gussetted and PC'ed then not worry about it anymore. Scott
  15. My dream is to be a part of it one year. Whether its pit, riding, whatever!! ikikazz, if you raced in it i am definitely not worthy.
  16. Brooke, it looks like it's coming to Maine on 5/27. Newburyport, MA to be exact at the Newburyport Screening Room. You can still fly out here if you want.....
  17. I'm starting to like the sound of this....
  18. how bout i fly up to maine and we'll go see it....
  19. This movie is a documentary on the Baja 1000 race. It was a really good movie. I liked it a lot. The movie is a narrative type. The narrarator takes you along from the start to finish of the race and explains the classes, cars and driver/riders. It follows 4 or 5 teams for the most part but gives you insight to a lot of different teams. He explains the history to present-day evolution of the race. There isn't really any coverage of quads, just a few short scenes with them, and if I remember right, it's at the start and finish, not really any action. I really had no idea what to expect, whether they'd be making it a thrill type movie watching the riders in action or a more documentary style, and it was a little of both. Some really good scenes following the riders and teams. I appreciated the feat before, but after watching it that close and seeing so much more of what they go through, especially the bikes and quads, there's no way to not be in awe. They follow Mike McCoy, who raced from start to finish on his XR himself, no other riders. He finished pretty high in the pack as well. To top it off, he finished with broken ribs, a broken finger and a couple other boo boos. How can anyone top that? Or how about the 16 year old from the McMillan family that helped his team finish high in the standings of the buggy class. Maybe JN Roberts can impress you being 60 years old and still hanging in there with the best, a lot tougher than I am for sure. Definitely worth the few bucks it costs to get in. Dust to Glory site.
  20. Yea, pipe mfg's. With 2 stroke pipes, it is very crucial to get the tuning right to match the flow of your motor. The belly of the pipe produces waves that pull the air/fuel through in a more efficient manner. The size of the belly designates the size of the wave and that's how they make different style pipes (i.e. top end, mid, low end, etc). You may already know this, but I wasn't sure. It is a time consuming process to build a set of pipes to perform how you want them. You should have a dyno handy to see how it affects what area. I doubt this is something the normal atv rider really wants to get into and it's a lot more than just putting on 2" pipe to a muffler like 4 strokes, granted there is a little more to it than that with 4 strokes, but you get my point.
  21. Front 5 to 6 Rear 4 Depends a lot on tires tho. I run radials. For regular tires, I'd run 4 in front also.
  22. Looks good Brook-e-poo. Why don't you come to TX and help me work on mine....
  23. WTF, how do I do that? I know I can hit CTRL+ALT+DEL in the logon to get to... is it the admin logon screen or what? All she his is her user set up. There isn't an Admin user to login under..... What a PITA her computer is. It's always getting f'ed up and screwey. Perfect example as to why I'm now on a Mac.
