  1. what kind of racing. T6s should be great duners, and i wouldn't think you'd need a change of pipes, unless your looking for power in a different area. some will say step up to a set of cpi inframes, but i don't have any experience with those.
  2. i couldn't find any in dirtwheels that cheap, most ls were around 390, if i remember correctly.
  3. What weekend is that? I don't remember shit about spring break.... must've been all the beer.
  4. A buddy of mine is a +4 and he runs 36mm mikunis and he loves it. he bored in a "boost vent" in the intake port and he claims that really helped his top end but hurt his low end.
  5. not with shit like that, you won't....
  6. the guy in ks is a dumb shit. the vforce reeds are great reeds, they have much much better throttle response and help out in the mid punch a little. actually they're adjustable to help where you want them to, but they flow a lot better and worth the cost in my opinion. i'd buy again. they are much better than ported stock cages.
  7. nope. i ran the os disk and repaired one file and now its another and can't get it fixed. i tried the automated system recovery but don't have a floppy to use for the info, and it won't work without it seems. i said f it and tried to reinstall the os and can't even do that, guess I can't figure out how. When I did, all it wanted to do is install a second os, and that's not what I want to do. I need this thing up, I need files like right now, for work. I don't know. I was going to try to take it somewhere, but couldn't. It's just a f'ed up situation.
  8. The Maxxis Front Pro is the best tire I've found. It steers great and will take the turns with stride, bounce off of anything and it seems to handle better than some of the others. Around $31 bucks a tire from RMATV. To solve the bump issue, you need a steering stabilizer.
  9. that would sure work for me.
  10. The reason I said "slight" is becuase I've heard of big jetting changes all the way to no jetting change. So I said you may have a slight jetting change, based on the average of what I've heard. D34 expressed his doubt in my jetting in my previous post about these plugs, that's why i was sarcastic, and I probably shouldn't have. I don't know his setup or why he didn't have a jetting change, and I'm not concerned why, but I did have a lean condition after changing the plug; I did not have a lean condition before, and I know of a few other people that have had a similar experience. I run a single carb, and that's possibly why I needed a much larger jet, due to one carb feeding two cylinders. Scott
  11. take her for 1 final rip, however, make sure to put in some fuel stabilizer, take it for a rip and then drain the fuel when your done. drain the fuel bowl(s) in the carb(s). whatever fuel is left shouldn't gum up too bad from the stabilizer. some say run it empty and then drain the fuel, not sure on that with the premix. or leave it at my house and i'll make sure she stores good.
  12. suspension is very important. shocks arms axles (watch the width on the arms and axles, because it can get very narrow in the real tight sections, everybody has a different opinion on this.)
  13. This might help you.
  14. razrs hook up on the hard stuff/mx stuff as well as tamers or hshots, and hook up equally well on the loose stuff. great all around tire. for fronts, i like the maxxis front pro, great handling tire.
  15. definitely go back to a BR8ES. the needle will affect the low end along with the pilot, and it will affect the top a little also, like 3/4 throttle. Here is something that may help. Make sure your on at least the second or third clip on the needle, i would never go less then third. If you notice, the needle has a lot to do with 1/8 to 3/4 throttle. if you change clip position, there may be a change needed in the main, make sure you check. if you go richer, then all the main can do is get more rich, but it may foul.
  16. thanks demon for the input. it's my understanding that both durablue and lonestar have lifetime warranties, so I don't know what the big deal is. my friend is a racer and all he will use is a durablue. its like coke and pepsi, everybody has a favorite. the ricky stator doesn't even come with a warranty. i want a basic axle, not anything super fancy, so right now I think I may order a Durablue Eliminator 2+2. I can get one pretty cheap through my friend and it fits the bill just right. Now i'll need to figure out how to get that damn rainbow looking sticker off when i get it. Thanks again for the help.
  17. hey, never thought of it like that... I think i'm about equal length from kermit and little sahara, ok.
  18. the single 35 will help your low and mid somewhat with stock pipes but not near as much as with pipes. whatever you do get the 35, the 33 is near the same price but the 35 is better to be modding with and fine with a non ported motor. your top end is only as restrictive as your pipes. I know they've already said it, but you could get you a set of Fattys for about the same as the single carb kit and that would give you so much much more power all the way around. the stock pipes limit your rpm and won't allow you to rev to get full benefit. it's totally your choice and your money. if your set on the carb, get the carb, i don't think you could go wrong with a stock motor and the single carb setup. does this have anything to do with a sleeper bike? just wondering if that's why your keeping the black pipes, and trying to build a stroker or something, but that wouldn't work.
  19. If your compression is around 160 or maybe a little less, you should run the race fuel, because of detonation problems. If you don't have that much compression, then you should just run the premium at the store. There isn't really any benefit if the compression's not there. I would never ever run anything lower than 91 octane. I run 93 from a local store in town, and 91 should be easy enough to find.
  20. the purtiest one you can find...
  21. put a touch of grease on the orings to help keep them in place and be sure to torque down in the correct order with the correct amt. other than, it's pretty easy.
  22. you guys are nutz bidding war on a boost bottle. i'll give you a crossover tube free of charge.
  23. sure, no prob. don't know why they're not going through, just told me i didn't have permission. wtf.
  24. Trinity Racing
  25. sweet, thanks for the quick responses. Scott
