  1. hey bud, i've done that before, lol. we (8 of us)went on a poker run about 120 miles from home. when we got there i couldn't find my key. i swear i had put it in the truck before leaving, and then in my pocket when we unloaded there. man i was going nuts looking for it so i wouldn't have to sit out the ride. my buddy and i finally hotwired it and i rode anyway. when i washed my pants later, i found it wrapped up in the inner liner of my pants at the bottom of the pant leg. it had fallen thru a hole in my pocket and i had it with me during the whole ride. :yelrotflmao: then on the ride home, my truck motor blew up and left us stranded on the interstate for a few hours. when we got home, my buddies wife was furious cuz she was having difficulties with her pregnancy and was rushed to the hospital while we were out. it was a pretty sucky day. come to think of it, my buddy hasn't gone on a poker run with me since.
  2. see, and you guys all thought that they sucked and were a waste of money
  3. the only times i've been in chat, it's always been the same handfull of people, which is cool though. it's a wonder there aren't more people into it. it's cool to get instant responses on things and get to know people a little.
  4. yeah, i had just recieved my order of a bunch of stuff the same day(yesterday)and this deal came in the mail. :: but there was some other stuff that i was putting off for a while that i had wanted, and $20 off seemed to help enough to make up my mind, so i placed another order for some riding gear.
  5. i'm sure they are lots of fun. i'd love to throw the wife or kids in beside me and take off for the day. there was a guy driving one on a poker run that i went on yesterday, and it looked like a blast. i think he was the only guy in the whole event not covered in mud too. if i had the $$, i'd have the shee, a grizz and a rhino. but it's tough enough keeping up with the shee, i can imagine having 2 more machines that would HAVE to be modified.
  6. if you do go with these covers, make sure that you leave the headlights turned off when you have the covers on. they will hold the heat and warp the lens of your headlight. yup, i learned that one the hard way ::
  7. suck off "whitey" lol.
  8. try using the search function bud. odds are that almost any problem you have has been addressed before. chech out this link. clicky
  9. 1 year on mine with no problems...
  10. my set up is similar - pc pipes, no lid with pro design foam filter, v3's, noss head 21cc domes, no timing advance though. my mains are 370's at 1250' in summer conditions here in pa. it really depends on your elevation and riding temps. check out this link and find your elevation. topozone
  11. that's it, the 'starter' jet. make sure it is on the left side carb or you'll have starting issues when it's cold.
  12. i guess it all depends on how you ride. i have all 6 hd springs in mine and under my normal riding conditions it's not bad at all. but yesterday i went on a poker run of almost 30 miles, riding pretty hard for about 3 hrs with only a couple of breaks less than 5 minutes long. by the end of the ride my hand and arm were shot. i'm still feeling it typing right now, lol. normally it doesn't bother me though. maybe the fact that it was only in the upper 40's and pouring down rain didn't help matters any. but to answer your original question, i'd say go with at least 3 hd's and 3 reg.
  13. hey bud, you need to take this to the jetting and exhaust forum... jetting is really finicky. i have 370 mains in mine now. every shee is different depending on location, elevation, mods, etc. it takes what it takes to get her tuned in right, even if it seems high or low to others. go by your plugs, and performance in different ranges to tune your own to what it likes. my pipes blued when i first put them on also. it was way lean. i was told to go with 290's or so to be on the rich side and ended up at 360's till the plugs looked good after a chop. luckily, my pipes were the only thing to suffer from it.
  14. here's a pic in case you're still interested... they do have a different look to them depending how you turn them on the headlights.
  15. it was on the outdoor 2 channel on tv. yeah bud, get into it on your shee and maybe they'll showcase you on the show. i was disappointed cuz they only showed 1 shee in the race. maybe you can bring her back to the spotlight.
  16. not sure about the slides, but rocky mountain has decent prices on cables and levers. rocky mountain atv.com
  17. i think i just unplugged mine, not sure which way i did it, but either should work fine. i hated the way the perch looked with the e-brake shit on there so i ground it off and repainted it. i guess i was to cheap to buy a new one
  18. i'm not sure if your problem would be at the fly wheel if it's only happening on one side. that sounds more like a one sided problem coming from the intake/carb/cylinder/exhaust on that side. i'd definitely check out the reeds, make sure the carb is thoroughly cleaned, plug is gapped right, etc. check to see if your carb's are in sync too. while the carb is off, take a peek down the ports and crank her over by hand and you'll be able to see the piston. see if the rings look good or if the skirt is cracked or anything. you might also want to double check that both carbs have the same jets in it. that's been known to happen also.
  19. sorry bud, i don't know what else to tell you then. did you try just lubing the cable? you may be up for some new cables and so on after all. good luck.
  20. check the float height adjustment. if it's fine, you may just need to do a little more extensive carb cleaning, like mentioned above.
  21. maybe your just getting sand in places that it doesn't belong seriously bud, what kind of air filter are you running? it may be letting sand particles through and into your carb and jamming up the slides. that can be hell on your cylinders also. K & N filters are usually better for sand environments than foam filters are. if your still running the stocker, get rid of that pos, anything is an improvement from that set up. a pro design adaptor plate with a good filter may be what you need. pro design adaptor / filter
  22. hmm, i never really gave that much thought. i might have to check mine out, just out of curiosity.
  23. i'm sure my clutch is adjusted up properly, and the tranny oil was full. but it has only been run a handfull of times since last october, so that may well be the problem if that's normal under those conditions. shee just needs ridden more often to keep the plates lubed up. once archery season comes in late september/early october, the shee pretty much sits till hunting season is over, mid december. then between the snow, working 60-74 hrs a week, and trying to have family time, shee doesn't see much action. but now that spring is here, it's banshee season again, so maybe i'll be able to run her more often. if the problem persists, i'll tear into it and inspect everything like you guys mentioned. thanks for the advice guys.
  24. i think i had found 'thebansheezone' before finding the hq on the net. it was a great site meat, i hate to see it disappear. but thanks for the time and effort you had put into it. hey you never know, maybe you'll resurrect it some day.
  25. we don't see too many of them around here for sport or pleasure, but of course the farms and golf courses have them for utility purposes. i don't think it should be a 'family toy' or considered to be safer for the kiddies either. that's still a hell of a machine for a little kid to operate. and i'm sure it is like anything else, some people just don't respect others no matter what they are driving.
