  1. ive only owned banshee's since the late 90's did they switch from a 4 lug hub to 6 at any point cause i orded a 38 for a banshee and it came 4 lug, i was able to drill new holes and make it work(it looks like crap though) so i just use a 40 smallest i could find in a 6 lug and i searched the web high and low and had a few parts houses looking as well.....if some one does find a place for a 6 lug 38, man id like to grab a few of those......
  2. I just got mine too, man are you going for how thick they are, great stickers David, thank you...i looked over my bike, for a spot for them, bingo right on my stingers, there so thick they havnt melted and look killer.....
  3. yeah thats what i thought guy, i had a sneaking feeling you didnt just start whackin at your jugs and came up with good results, i dont get to glamis much, but live real close to dumont and the national forest is my back yard up here in the high desert and it sounds like you have a sand shee, mine are setup more for open desert and MX, but i too love to just race and shoot the shit with my pals with bikes, win loose or draw, we all have fun, some of my funnest MX races i was the looser........
  4. damm i forgot about the gear bags.....jim just said i said i had something comin in the mail......hope its not a turd......maybe it's a valentine
  5. id say keep the 15 and do a plug chop your probally rich, pipes and the head will pull that 15 for sure with the pc's.....i ran the same setup before and it pulled like a sob with a 15....i take it your not in sand?
  6. do you want a low to mid pipe that will sign off early or a top end pipe that you'll have to fan your clutch a bit but that will pull hard through the top........
  7. Do you happen to ride in Southern California? im always up for seeing what my 370 will do, i think my 63 horse Trinity MX ported desert Shee would be more of a match............. for the do it yourself port job id trying running a pair of 34"s, if it jumps off the ground you allways have a porting carrier to fall back on, if it gags and chokes on the fuel and air, get your grinder back out, because without the knowledge of haveing done alot of porting it's just hit and miss, which is cool but my trinity port choked on 33's but runs great on stock 26's, my Passion engine wouldnt even start with the stock carbs, let alone pull 85 horse's...but 25 years of experiance is what i was purchaseing , i could have got a template and done it myself..........i think your rolling the dice by doing it yourself, and since you have the skills to break the bike down, a first class port job would really blow your mind and for fairly cheap as well...........
  8. what ratio are you running your 2 cycle oil at......ive noticed anyting under 40:1 shit will come out the pipe, and do a plug chop to make sure your mains not rich, cause it probally dont happen till you rev it out......
  9. i went endouro riding a long time ago with my brother in law and i was on a XL-600 pig.... well we rounded a mountain road and i hit a rut and shot my bike down a 100 foot revine, my bro in law was a tree trimmer the fucker pulled out some rope and those closed hooks those guys use and he tied off my bike and then came up the revine to a tree and tied it off then went to one branch then another then another and just took the end of the rope and pulled and my 300 pound bike came right up the hill, then he pulled out a cork and plugged my tank where a branch had poked a whole in it and we rode on home.....to this day i call the fucker MCGyver......a little smarts goes a long ass way when your stuck some where..........
  10. last good president we had got murdered about 40 years ago.........but he liked pussie too so nowadays hed be a prick.......i wonder if clinton would have come out and pronounced he was a polesmoker if he woulda caught as much flack for gettin a dicksuckin.....i dont blame him.... monica had a semi cute face so why not slap your balls against her chin....if he would have balled her he would have really been fucked.......i dont vote either........ how do you pick a asshole over a moron......

  12. i got mine from beach yamaha..........

  14. heres how the scotts mounts.....
  15. the dual rate with rates of 147/210 compare to the triple rate system which has rates of 133/171/260. the triple rate is 10% plusher for the first third of the wheel travel, and still over 20% stiffer than the dual rate for the last third of the wheel travel. Actually, if the triple rate starts out with a 133# per inch rate and finishes with a 260# per inch rate it has almost a 100% stiffer rate from beginning to end vs. the 45% dual rate change. This means that it will be super plush on the top part of wheel travel and even more resistant to bottoming out on the bottom bit of wheel travel. The shock is exactly the same valving, travel, spring set, etc. The only difference is the non reservoir (non rezzy) design has the oil and gas mixed together and the reservoir design (rezzy) keeps the oil and gas totally separate. The purpose of the rezzys is to give the heat in the shock a "radiator" location to dissipate faster. This causes the shocks to run at a lower temperature and the oil will last longer and require less rebuilds than the non rezzy design. The first purpose is to separate the oil and gas. A gas/oil emulsion shock operates with the oil mixed with thousands of tiny nitrogen gas bubbles floating about. So your valving piston has oil with "compressable" bubbles running through it and the reservoir design has undisturbed oil running through it. This leads to more consistent damping action especially for long MX or XC racing. The second purpose is for slightly more oil capacity for additional heat absorption/radiation. 'The reservoirs are by no means mandatory for high performance, rather they are definitely worth the money if you can swing it. For the very hard core MX or XC racers, they are indeed important. its hard to find a good triple in the shorter body, most of us use doubles, for the cash you want to spend you could get some great shocks and arms, but to cross the desert fast, you'll need to at least rebuild the rear shock.....
  16. heheheheheh i think were just razing ya jimbee.......keep cranking out those builds.......
  17. 1999(rair) banshee.........thats what your sig looked like before you changed it.....

  22. when you are slowing down on your shee all you need really do is kinda feather your clutch as you ride, to keep the r's up just like you do on that 250, your just kinda riding with a finger on the clutch lever working it like it was a fine woman, riding a shee fast is all touch, have you looked into the 400EX?..... i hear its one hell of a nice machine......
  23. I did mail the decals...finally... Did I have a brain lock? I didn't remember you still having a leak. Getting old sucks but it's better than the alternative. heheheheheh im being a smart ass as usual david......but ill watch the mail.....my leak is slight.... come to think of it jims got some kinda teflon oring gizmo for me, that im going to try.....one of my outer head lugs gets the tiny littlest bit of coolant on it after riding.........but damm i want those new Noss stickers, for my cowl and swing arm......ill do a "product review" of Noss Machine stickers after they arrive and are installed....... thanks David, we all enjoy having you on the HQ......
  24. but that doesnt mean you even came close to what a pro builder can do...id venture to say your results arnt similar to a professionals results, not to offend you, but any one of us can grind our juggs and get a little power, after youve ported a few hundred bikes and can see and feel what your "grinding" effects are haveing on the bike, then you can start to make assumptions about porting........again no offense
  25. does your 250 foul plugs when you ride it?....sheeesh you have some morons for friends......i can lugg my bike all day and it still revs clean......you need to consider the source....
