i think your looking at a good 25 hp increase .............could be a few less or a few more, but ive found its where the power and torque kick in , ive noticed that when my banshee comes un glued no matter where im riding(sand excluded) that my ass end spins, slowing me down greatly, it seams the more power i have the more i breakem loose, jims motor allows me to gear so tall and come on from almost nothing combined with a shortened swing arm, i can roll it on and accelerate hard rather than loose traction ........i think, and this is just my opinion but, a stock shee with 35 horse hooks better than a 80 horse shee with the same chassis as the 35 horse bike, the more ponies you have for dirt racing the more mods you need, to get that to the ground, like proquad for instance has to be sitting on his axle(literally) or guys who hook would blow past him regardless of who built his motor, we couldn't count the variables evolved in what it takes to get that bike to stick to the track and win races, might be something as stupid as................ when was the last time you rebuilt your shocks........

i know im sorry .......that little smart ass on my shoulder starts typeing and then before ya know it i'm in a pissinng match, i think what i meant to say was, gee golly thats a great price, i know if that was me id buff the guys intakes clean (while i was drinking a beer) and (i just got this cool new buff wheel for my 19 dollar dremel, it was 89 cents but money well spent) and run myself an ad on ebay, hell i could do it with a 56K phone connection, allthough with the 56K i cant masterbate to porno on the internet(of course all the while im detailing my clints Juggs) but i can download the jpegs ok, id love to see some chic giving head while porting a banshee, but my connection is so slow, any suggestions?

my 11 year old son just started porting banshee's hes been riding mine for 7 years, he's into ps2's and x box games, he can do a thirty foot superman on his cr-85, gets great grades, and is top in his class and charges 50 cents a jug, to port..............plus parts, 10 dollars an hour to teach you how to ride, his name is Logan and can be reached through my email addy...............

being a passion 12 port owner myself i would suggest you also, supply great fuel flow to that motor......ie. fat gas lines, drill your gas cap for air flow put a fuel filter that can be replaced between the tank and carbs, i would jet it with a dry air filter, then lightly oil your filter(or filters)......... a little rich is better than a little lean on that engine, jims motors haul ass, after 14 shee's i ran into jim, my 02 is my 15th, he's roughly my age and has built these motors since the yamaha RD series(so late 70's) if you get his motor to run properly your in for an eye opening ride............ im posting a pic of my fuel lines to illustrate what has worked well for my banshee, Jim and my good friends at Action Motor sports desisigned this for me.............

i like my 17 for trails but my shee has great lowend so i can roll second out at 5mph and start pulling hard, maybe pull third for less tight trails, but then out here in the desert that trail opens up into an 80 mph straight for 2 miles, then maybe raps some hills kinda like pikes peak, where there fairly smooth whinding straights and big long 60mph corners, i agree with jeff a good middle of the road gearing for a built bike in the dunes would be stock, the whole idea of that good overrev is that the gears are tall enough to stretch, ive noticed to short of gears my bike will kinda hang and stop accelerateing, but geared tall it stretches till i run outta balls and have to back off the throttle.......

we all need to remember its just mathmatics, so many rpm verses the gear size verses the tire size, horsepower helps you reach the rpm's, but if youve got a 13 up font and your doing 100mph, the engine between your legs is not a 350 twin two cycle, unless of course you got one that will spinn 12000 rpm which i serousley doubt, or nasa built you a transmission

on the trails third should pull like a raped ape, but in the sand 5th will peter out, there like apples and oranges, unless youve got a buttload of horsepower that gearing wont let you hit high gears in sand, but if you can wind fourth, your haulling pretty good ass in the dunes, a thirteen would be shitty on the trails, but if you got decent mods you can pull sixth in the sand with a 13, i just take shorter front sprockets to the dunes cause i run mostly desert and MX, a 15 for me at dumont works great, but is to short for the trails, i dont think there is one gearing that would favor both sand and trails................

i can do about 100 mph just fucking pinned in 6th, nobody with a 13 up front is coming within 30 mph of that
