  2. live an hour east of you ran 45 pilot dgh mid clip and 160 mains in the summer 165 in the winter. pretty same setup.
  3. dont know how big your carbs are or what size of motor you have beside a 4mm what brand of carbs are they. i would suggest open them 3 full turns and work down doubt you will need to open the pj all the way on gas. and then work your way down half turns till it keeps pulling and runs smooth. on my lectrons im about 3/4 of a turn open.

  5. whats a stage II porting or setup on a cub helped a guy today and his jugs said that on the side of it. it it something fancy or just basically a clean port.

  7. if its a true drag port its probably to wide to add tripples into it if your really wanting one you have to cut the sides out of the jugs weld material in and the port it and reweld. and they pray the welds are prefect and dont leak any water. not many do them any more cause they are $$$ and time involved i think rdz does them but your talking like a 2000 for the port job i think shayne said or someone. buy a cub. imo

  10. ok dealing with the same deal my plugs after doing a plug chop are like brand new with 114 race gas. the base of the threads have dark to black ring on it, but according to you just ride it. it feels rich when i grab 5th gear it kinda bogs so i know its rich. basically to get it very accurate i would have to put it on a dyno cause its like pissing up a rope with race gas im i correct??
  11. you should be able to run the stock pp or the boss one i ran the hinson one then put my stock one back on when i put a lock up on my 8 disk. like dave said you probably need to time it in the correct groove.

  13. one reason i dont or cant go is my paychecks are a third of what they used to be. and i live in a really cheap area so its not breaking me but it sure the fuck isnt making me go hmm i really need to go to the dunes. also my buddies are about the same. hard to get a group of guys to go and split the cost to get there. as for the builders i would just be grinding and building and saving money. got a really good feeling money is going to get tight. unless something happens. gas is starting to go back up again. reason i think lot of this is economy went south is high fuel for everyone. everytime i open up the paper its more layoffs, if almost funny now but i can count more people that are laid off than working. lot of guys worked in the airplane field they are laid off now around here.
  14. its a flat track motor or drag port motor seems weird to have a drag port when jim makes some mean ass flat track motors thats where he got his start doing tt motors for local guys and other stuff.

  16. built 2 motors for me took lil time to figure the jetting but got it lined out. his work is some of the best i have ever seen. jim has a.d.d. gets lot of projects going and what not. does a lot of research on lot of stuff. and also works as a mechanic for an import shop in tulsa full time. just call him up tell him what you want to do and all that. you will have to wait some time for it cause i talked to him last week and he is starting to get lot of motors needing to be built so be a wait. but will be worth it.
  17. whats your gearing you might not have enough power to turn the 21s in deep sand in sec gear you might have put a lower front tooth in.

  20. was it a motion pro dominator or whatever the name is the more expensive one like rmatv sells i bought one and it was too long compared it to my stock one 1/4 inch longer and if pulled in all the way it wouldnt release. and roll if reved up.
  21. the a/s dont run the same specs as pwk you will be running lower pilot, leaner needle and less main than pwk your going to have a bitch of a time trying to get them to work my guess. your running jim motor it will want fuel down low and in the mid range but i cant help you with those carbs. not a fan of them. best of luck with pwk or pj you would be in the 52-58 pilot, dek i would suggest 4th 5th clip and 145-155 mains for 1000ft but you wont be close to that with those a/s. again you will have to play with it but every thing i seen and read they run lower number cause they flow differently or carb slide cut out blah blah. lol
  22. so did you raise the needle all the way or lower it take you raised it 5th clip well you need to realize that that circuit carries over to the main and your adding more fuel to it. i think you should be in the 155-165 main range or less. what are your plugs telling you.
  23. what intakes are you running i had a motor do the same thing took timing out and blah blah it was massively lean in the mid range try raising your needle up and lowering your main down some. wont hurt to try it.
