    cub problem

millienum plating most use it it wasnt ported now is the time to get it ported and then replate it.
  6. 6mm socket or needle nose pliers to take the slides apart. ceg is a rich needle down low and 55 pilot is huge for a stock motor you need to be working a leaner pilot or a different needle
  7. you should talk to jim at passion racing and gary with sniper pipes they have been dynoing about every pipe for the 421 cub setups.
  8. what size of domes did you order theres lil to no way you dont have any squish did you back the piston down and put the solder into the hole then press down the on the kicker. to have absolutely no squish means the pistons are hitting the domes which is death to a motor.
  9. first thing you never want to start a bike witha duneable by rolling it and popping the clutch while in gear. sounds like you need to check your forks and see if your teeth are ground down. sometimes mine wont down shift the easiest but its like 1 in 100 times.
  10. well shit they are old cars so body rust will be an issuse tranny probably will need rebuilt especially if you going to put power to it. full shift kit and new stall convertor. the 87s are the best model to get. its all in what you can get. different chips can cause issues by adding to much timing othere are way to safe its hard to keep up with all the bs. just basically have to drive the car and see how it acts. most of them are good solid cars just its all in how they were taken care of.
  11. used to own a we4 87 model loved that car put a bigger turbo on it after stock one went out full shift kit boiled the tires grabbing sec was a true blast adn that fucker got 22 mpg if you keep your foot out of it www.turbobuick.com is a site to read up on them you can make them scream just have to have the wallet
  12. exactly that shit is so old and hack now was funny the first 1000 times i got the text.
  13. gapers heres a pic of the gapers pipes also dmc 916 are a good all around pipe that sound wicked
  14. thats pretty tight i would shoot for like .045
  15. u said you changed the waterpump seals but you might recheck them thats what happened to my buddies bike ride for like 10min and leaked out like a pig the seals were old and when the water pressuized it pushed oil out the vents
  16. cummins is the best motor but dodge chassis and interior is crappy ford are roomy but the 6.0 are riddled with problems chevy duramax has a good motor and interior the allison is a good tranny. i would get a chevy oh wait i got one already.
  17. why does your bike stand so tall in the back end??
  18. a pvl is basically a mag with a linear timing curve. wont run any lights all it does it fire when the points touch like off a crank sensor or whatever. it has a light flywheel for fast reving been talk that for trails or lugging around a heavy wheel is recommend so motor can lug down in the rpms so like the others said its great for dragging or duning without lights and wanting quick revving up.
  19. Bitch I wish you WOOOOOOOULD burn my mothafuckin cloooooothes! but enjoy
  20. his name is gary bilby, bilsbee something gary b. he is the guy that jim built that 4 cylinder cougar.
  21. try doing it for a living. its quite fun drove from little america wy to wichita unloaded some catalyst and then to my house. just shy of 900 miles in a semi that could only go 74mph by the end of the nite i was doing the ace venture with my head out the window. time i left to time i stoped was 23hrs. should have pulled over and went to bed but i wanted to be home and enjoy my weekend.
  22. this is often debated but with that long of a swinger you dont have enough paddles. i run 10 paddles on my trail paddles with a 4 over and spin pretty good. also if your tires are 22 inch tall 15-41 out of first gear works pretty good. again i dont know what kind of power your putting down with that motor. but this is what ive experienced.
  23. i had this problem a yr or 2 back with my hinson basket. i called direct drive and they acted dumb founded then like a month later they claimed on their site they made a lockout to fit. now i never checked up the site since then but you might get with d.d. i took a dremel to my lockout and its a real pain in the ass to grind and fit and grind its way easier to get a new lockout that fits or run stock pp
