  2. 27.5 you might try and 4th clip on the needle mains sound pretty close
  3. buy a set a little big and file them down to the size that you want
  4. bingo thats what i ran last time there andy
  5. 33 would be a good setup for your bike, get duals not a single carb. then save up for some shearers and you will really like how it runs. 12000 you can buy my bike imo hmm cubs

junk shit hmm time for a new one might try putfile again
  7. racing carbs you need to pull the number off them or letter like keihin or mikunki (spelling) if they are stock i would suggest a 280-300 main depend on your elevation does it run like crap at what throttle position.
  8. did it do down i take it. havent been about to do shit with it for a while now. any clues
  9. yes shearers make them they are a mid to top end pipe. passionre can hook you up with some shearers at a pretty good price
  10. info is needed are the pipes stock or what kind of pipes, air filter setup. lid or no lid stock carbs, what is the jetting mains and needle clip elevation. many variables
  11. they were fun and dependable bikes. hard to break down. they did have some valve train noise, either rocker arms or something, they werent the quietiest motors. but they ran and were tough. i thought they were short framed but im 6 ft 3 so i was like a monster on them.
  12. i like my shearers. good power thru the mid and top end for sure. best pipe for a shee for mid to top end. imo
  13. you might try a 27.5 pilot, 4th or 5th clip and with no lid you should be at 340 at 1000 ft if your higher you might have to go down 320-340 should be close. goign to have to do some testing and tuning, reading plugs. but thats start
  14. no actually number is needed, just old.
  15. thats because your arthritis kicks in and your old body cant get ready for the dunes. lol
  16. while riding the bike should shake the gas around and help it. ive rode in like 15 deg farheit before with it lasted about 30 min and i was beyond froze. so
  17. chris the bitch is your bringing shit up that been gone thru and over a yr old. instead of making 2 steps forward you leaping backwards with your post on super old stuff. my ? is why. the posts ive read that you posted didnt say much of anything. its a free county in all but all the sudden your just mister history buff and rehashing super old shit. and the stuff you bring up, isnt very worthy. like my house getting broke into. that was fine 1.5 yrs ago. kinda really old news now. brings up bad memorys. lol
  18. you can shake it up really well before putting it in your tank or store it in a safe spot somewhere around room temp so it doesnt seperate. not near any flames or stuff like that.
  19. loco i totallly agree screw it just ban him i was like wtf my house got broken into again wtf. well over a yr ago
  20. Dec 10 2004, 08:12 PM this thread was almost a yr old and you bring it up.
  21. i wasnt bashing either head. just saying they are both good heads. and on doesnt make the bike super fast compared to the others
  22. pro design and noss head are basically the same. the noss heads do look way nicer, i have a pro design got it cheap. 2 each their own on the heads, depends on the price and look both are good
  23. most likely not if they do fit they will stretch the boot out quite a bit. would be smarter to get one that fits the size of the carb so you dont rip it and get an air leak or something later down the line.
  24. do you have a spacer thing to space the head pipes away from the frame. mine has that and doesnt leak at all. might have to adjust your stuff
  25. get a pipe setup and air filter system with a plate for your box or pods i would stick with the stock carbs till you start doing engine work, like porting etc
