  1. all this trucker talks has got me excited like most have said there are 2 type of brakes, exhaust and jake brake the exhaust work for small vehicles, the new mercedes motor what my company has in their shitty ass freightliner use it. it slows a semi down for crap. jakes vary the valves to slow the motor down. if you want to feel the best jakes the new cummins with twin overhead cams create like 600 hp of braking power thats a shit load. motor makes 525-550 hp of pulling power.
  2. i got the ricky stator luminators they are nice probably the same compared to the others i dont know. 75 watt with his 200 stator. all i know is i can see likea bitch now really bright compared to the crappy stock ones

  6. ok you figure companies like sneidner (spelling) which is the largest private fleet has several thousand trucks. then you have jb hunt, swift, werner, covenant, us express, this are some other huge ones. with a shit load of trucks most trailers they pull are 53 ft long, tractor are 260-270 in wheel base roughly 75 ft long. so their are a bunch of trucks out there, and what is bad the companines cant keep any good help around so they are hiring more people. and with new dot rules and log books rules there are going to be more trucks out there. what is amazing is the austrailia road train, it pulls like 25 trailers behind it pulling coal and other ore out ot the mines to the plants. that thing is cool

    got a good one off an 01 bike nothing wrong with it and a +4 plate non adjustable 70 bucks to your house

  10. in probably 2 weeks im going to sandtrax in tulsa and running my bike on the dyno, jet it in, and have lonnie program my dyna system. will let you know how it goes
  11. you need to hook up a scan tool to see if there is a code like the one guy said. you can put 25 sensors on and not get it right unless you scan it. sounds like a crank or cam sensor. they must time the ignition system so it will start
  12. still with 17 domes and your elevation that is really low compression have you done a rebuild in a while. put some 300 in bet it runs better yet
  13. i run 10 paddle haulers with a stock bike they worked great, withmy +4 they should work even better some say to not run 10 paddles i never had a problem with them. but im not an expert
  14. that chart rich is left and bottom it kinda hard to explain just look it over. there are like a million different choices to choice from. kinda nerve racking. if you order some order a couple around what you need so you can get what you want.

  16. you will have more compression when your motor is cold cause the parts havent heated up and expanded a bit. dont know how much of a difference there is between cold and hot.

  19. first off brad that drilling in alaska enwor or whatever is called, study have been done and they claim their is enough oil up there for the us to run 1 yr. for all the refineries in the usa. not very worth it. maybe there is more. i dont know but make one wonder. 1yr worth really isnt worth doing it. the refineries are producing at max levels, have been for yrs. there really isnt a shortage. my dad works at one in el dorado ks. 100000 barrel a day same as last yr, same as 3yrs ago. dont know how they can say it cause the refineries are not producing enough. they also blame china, and this iraq screw up. all i know mr president better get his shit lined out cause he will break this country on. if you doubt me, listen to this. every thing you get comes from trucks. you think a trucking company is going to survive paying 2.20 a gal for diesel. my semi hold 200 gal. thats like a good 300 dollars on a fill up. they are either going to jack up the rates or pass a huge fuel surcharge on. my company is passing on a 16% right now for a 1000 dollar load they are charging 160 more for fuel. then the company is going to pass that on to the comsumers. meaning your everything you buy is $$$$ you think walmart is going to keep there low prices. they have one of the bigger fleet, they are going to do something cause they are not going to absorb the profit loss for fuel. i pray the gov. gets stuff lined out. load up this iraq oil, shit they are shooting our troops, might as well get something out of it. also this war was suppose to pay for its self. whats the debt up to now????

  22. by the boss i mean the stud caseings on the inside of the clutch cover. there are 3 little tangs where the screws hold the clutch cover deal. sand about 1/8 down to get them to work roughly. is it worth it, dont know i broke the inner hub stubs, so i ordered this kit. yeah its expensive, pretty though. i was like might as well buy some good parts. while my bike it tore apart. i got mine kit from motorcycle superstore.com i think is the addy do a search on yahoo.com for hinson clutch you should see a link for them. passionre talked like he could have got me a better deal, dont know what price though. paid like 700 for it roughly the whole kit. dont buy the cushion kit also waste of money and the basket somes with them. Nmotion out of wichita makes a 9 disk setup with a pancake bearing in the flywheel so the rod wont weld to the ball. might be an option also. you could check them out also.   23. it really depends on how much you ride and how hard you are on your clutch i would say 2-3 month of causal riding maybe. if your hard on it dragging and whatnot more often its cheap stuff so your not out much
  24. i got their whole system. its an 8 disk one. its a good setup but you will have to sand or file the clutch cover boss on the inside of the clutch cover or the pressure plate will grind into it. i didnt know this at first, it would kill my engine. took it apart adn say shavings so i got the air sander out and files the boss down some 1/8 i think works great now
  25. i run atf type f all the time. bought some cheap stuff for the gas station while back worked good. change it regularly helps
