with jims motor you can run a more of a drag pipe and keep somewhat of a low end. it pulls cpi, shearers

i have jims motor, in the trails it will pull itself easy in sec going thru the tight stuff in the dunes. it not in the powerband either, cause when it hits that, it better be in a straight cause it makes for a really scary ride. it depends on what setup you have. a drag port isnt going to have a bunch of low end. but his dune port or what ever i have works great.

the shop that i go to does this. go thru the gears kinda warm the bike up. get in 5th gear, get it around 4000 rpms. the tells me to look at the screen when it turns green, its ready. you just mash it wot. after he tell you to let off, it keep it going, by that dont pull in the clutch, it will weld the rod and ball together bigger than shit. your tire spinning 60 mph and you pull the clutch you have a lot of force on that little thing. most shops get a couple 3 runs to get asome what of an average or see if it gets better. then they adjust your jetting as needed. it well worth the money and it will tell you exactly what your motor needs and doesnt like. you can learn alot like how your stock ignition box is cutting you down, blah blah priceless info but gets expensive for it

in the sand a 15-41 works well. it sucks ass in dirt revs too fast and does nothing but spin out in the dirt i run a 16-39. would get some shearer also, the jetting i will have perfected in 1 week. info soon to be posted

you never know what setup fast did on the bikes. ive seen his bikes in action at waynoka they are mean as shit, but i havent a clue to what size of motor they are. on planetsand the guys told me they had a fast drag port motor. could have been stock, +4,+7, who knows. they were fast. so i was just trying to see if he know if they were setup for the drags. now for jims motor to run against a well known builder and win is priceless to me cause he gets bashed for his motors. they are good shit also. strokrbanshee1 next time you race get some video of it. so we can see you and the comp in action. sounds like jim built you a fine motor, like all his others sounds like i didnt read it correctly

pull the tops off the carbs get some scotch brite pad, and kinda sand the bottom edge of the slide. i has little small knicks and stuff that snag the bore body. just smoothe it up some it works great

you can hook it off the coil wire. thats where it would get its pick up for the lead. now for power i wouldnt have a clue. do they make a tach that doesnt need power source??
