  2. 800cc is the displacment limit for an ATV, after that it is considered and OHV and registration and places where you can ride are different. But that really only matters if you ride on government land. I think two strokes will be the next four stroke. Direct injection looks very prommising. The Ski-doo sleds with it are running as clean as the 4 strokes. In the next decade I wouldnt be suprised to see a return to more high tech 2 strokes.
  3. they are the same.
  4. Roll offs can be a problem with smearing in sloppy mud or if its reall wet. But with tear offs of only have like 8 sheets and you are done, and it is possible to get water in behind one and have to deal with it untill you yank em all. Neither are pefect, but I prefer the roll offs because you get alot of pulls with them.
  5. If all you want is the ability to remove the sprocket easily just cut the bars off that are over the sprocket.
  6. It applies to him too..he hasnt FINISHED a race since he won the 125 class way long ago. The backflip has gotten waaaayyy old. I was mildly entertaining a couple years ago when they would do a variety of neat tricks. it almost like it was many years ago when the only tricks were heelclickers, nac nacs and can cans. except now they do those same tricks in a backflip A buddy of mine has a good analogy. "freestyle is to motocross as figure skating is to hockey."
  7. Thats a pretty wild ramming bar on you bike!!!
  8. If i had no where else to ride i would...its all about personal safety. There isnt any crazy stuff like that where I ride so I dont carry
  9. this is a common banshee problem. Just put some spacers between the shifter and case/ stator cover so it doesnt move. I used a legth of pvc pipe with washers on either end
  10. 72? holy balls im on 15...its going to be a long, wasted day
  11. Do the haas stickers make your banshee more unreliable, or crash more?
  12. Thats rediculous. I change mine once a year only becasue I feel bad.
  13. i think its pretty close too. You have to actually be able to pull max rpm to go the speed it says.
  14. I ran a modded shift star, RZ shift forks and drum, and gears with everyother engagement dog milled off. It shifted very smooth. The only thing that still sucked about it was the length of throw is so long compared to other bikes. shortenting the shifter helps alittle with this. I still have the gear sets if you want them.
  15. Yep uppers are on the wrong side. They are rigt side up though
  16. So gas shield is worth it then. I do have a CO2 tank sitting around so I have that part coverered already. Ill look up that Ed Craig site. Thanks
  17. ive got a frame and some other stuff I need to get a bunch of stuff welded on this winter. Instead of going into work and bothering the guys there with it I figure it would be a good time to pick up on welding. Now I know next to nothing about welding. I have done some research and have figured I probably just need a 115v flux core setup. Anyone know what a good brand is? Also what kind of environment do I need to saftely weld? I dont have a garage only a old barn with wood floor, a barn with a dirt floor, and a basement. None of them really seem ideal. Thats all the questions Ive got for now. Any advice is great, because I really dont know much about it, except practice, practice!
  18. AWSOME!! now get a a honda style rear sprocket hub and get one of those 33T rear sprockets that go on in 2 pieces. Acording to this speed calculator HERE you will be able to go 130mph in 6th at 10,000rpm!!!! Id look into some bigger rear tires if you want some real speed. get some of those crazy 28" mud tires they make, dont worry about the weight it wont bog the engine. With a 28" tire on that setup you can go 180!!!! SICK!! This is the setup all the fastest Banshees have.
  19. good buyer. We had some trouble, but nothing we couldnt work out.
  20. I just sold this, its FreeFlow MiniCocker...hadnt used it in 2 years, man it was a sweet gun
  21. I crashed my banshee hard and the idler gear lost a tooth and it blew the little gear on the back of the basket in half. It wasnt backwards, just and end over ender.
  22. I too had trouble with the outerware lid. Heres what you do. You know those little black clips? (see pic) Use one on each side to clip the cover to the edge of the box. It takes some of the pull out of the fabric too so it stays on the velcro alot better.
