It always amuses me how everyone always thinks every new quad out will have EFI and will be so sweet because of it.....if EFI was so good it would have found its way onto MX bikes awhile ago.

Why does my Shee use
rebelbanshee2 replied to FULL_METAL_JACKT_II's topic in General Banshee Discussion
a standard rod length with blaster pistons makes no sense...it wouldnt even run. the wrist pin location is 5mm higher on a blaster piston..so your piston crown would be 5mm lower that it should be. Either you have a long rod or you dont have blaster pistons or it doesnt run..does it run? -
My Banshee is forsale!
rebelbanshee2 replied to rebelbanshee2's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
either way its no fun to sell something. I decided to try to sell it whole for now because if I part it out I will have 100 people ask about parts and only sell to 10. As a whole ill have 10 people ask about it and sell to 1. -
noooo bad idea...aloe leaves are not soft, not leaves really either. loong and skinny with little barb like notches

Id just use an indicator..no sense putting marks in something that might be good

If you really ride the brakes hard you iwll notice a difference. They do dissipate heat very well. If you dont run very hard dont waste your money...unless you just want to look cool

I spend some good seat time on my bros 310R on wednesday of last week.............I bought a 250R on the following Saturday. The Banshee is now for sale. I can go faster, for longer, and not be tired at all on that thing. After just 2 rides on that thing Im already more comfortable going fast on it than the Banshee after 3 years. The Banshee is just too heavy, bad frame, and too peaky..despite how many mods I put into it. Banshees are great for doing burnouts, and goofing around on, but outside of the dunes a 250r cant be beat. Anyone want a nice Banshee? Old toy New toy -
PARTING IT OUT! I have to get rid of my Banshee. It lacks nothing. Passion Racing 12 port 4mm LR stroker,33mm PWKs, worked over transmission, Quicksand a arms rotors and swingarm, elka shocks, lsr axle, ITP T9 Baja wheels...the list goes on. It was completely rebuilt a year ago. It is an excellent all around machine, Woods, MX, will hang with most anything in a drag. Im going to try to sell it as a whole for a week or so, then it goes to the chopping block to be parted out. I am In Rochester, NY. $6100 takes it. PM me if you are interested. A pictures worth 1000 words..

Cutting gears
rebelbanshee2 replied to Rare Scottish Tree Badger's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
When i got mine done they milled them with a carbide endmill, but an EDM would be good too -

Can't get it in neutral while running!
rebelbanshee2 replied to 2276's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
a few things it could be. Stock shift star just doesnt work well, grooved basket, warped clutch plates, or clutch simply too loose -

rebelbanshee2 replied to sweetshee4312's topic in General Banshee Discussion
flush the fuel system and put straight pump gas in both of them...the 400ex will win eveytime -

twist throttle vs. thumb throttle
rebelbanshee2 replied to yodamonkey64's topic in General Banshee Discussion
twist is the only way for me, thumb is no good. a good aggresive elbows up, legs pinching the frame stance will elimitnate most of the problems with a twist -
Parting out a bike..whats the best?
rebelbanshee2 replied to rebelbanshee2's topic in General Banshee Discussion
like how much? Ive seen some really nice bikes go for not very much, like $5k Im pretty sure I could get more than that in parts. No flocks of 14 year olds wanting test rides and will have money as soon as one of their dads gets out of prison shinanigans either. If someone would hand me $6500 today Id do it That would be nice, but no way can I afford 2 bikes, one is hard enough -
Parting out a bike..whats the best?
rebelbanshee2 replied to rebelbanshee2's topic in General Banshee Discussion
yes its a nice bike...but it just cant perforn in the woods and track like i want it to. It was great for recreational shredding, but Ive gotten in a group of really fast expert class riders and am starting to get real competetive in my riding, I can hold them off on the banshee, but I want to smoke them! A pro riders GNCC 250r has landed in my lap and im hoping to jump on it. I rode my brothers 310R today and its rediculous how easy it is to be fast on it. It can keep right up with my stroker in the open and beat it in the tight stuff. I REEAALLLYY hate to part with it, its been my child for the past 3 years, built it from the ground up...but a LSR framed 250r with a national motor for $4500 cannot be said no to right now -
I may be parting out my bike soon. I know Ill get the most money that way. My biggest question is with the engine. How far should I break it down? Do they sell best as a full engine or as cylenders, crank etc seperate... Its a full blown trick daddy engine...Passion 12 port stroker, cool head, RZ shift forks, drum, cut gears,, lightened flywheel...the works. I basically want to get a big chunk of money quickly and the engine seems to be the best way..but i also want to get the most money I can. How much is an engine like this worth....$2000-2500 reasonable? How much can be made parting something out, the bike has elkas, qucksand stuff, very little stock heres a picture. Ill know in the next couple days if its going or not..so please dont flood me with offers on the parts quite yet

Sprocket hub should... durablue can run a stock hub..LSR is same spec as stock. Wheel hubs are a different story since the X33 uses non stock system...Sprocket hubs should all be the same
-
Its the exception! Look it up, piss poor design
-
majaves are pretty crappy quads. a 250 that weights as much as a warrior...and the super DOHC setup that uses rocker arms WTF
-
RZ shift forks and drum, shift star mod, mill everyother engagement dog off the back of the gears, a ridgid shifter, like a pro design one, and fresh tranny oil. I shift all the time without the clutch
