  1. check the spark plug boots? make sure they are tight abd have a good connection with the wires coing out of the coil. And it does not matter witch wire goes on any cylinder, its a dual spark ignition it fires at the same time.
  2. I tell you what, I hear those TUSK chromoly ones are pretty good you can get them from rockymountainatv.com
  3. What he said!!!
  4. Either chrome it or sand it!!! I like to take a wire wheel on a bench grinder and clean it up first. Then get a polishing wheel and polish the hell out of it!! Put it this way it does not matter if you take the coating off as long as you keep on top of it, just make sure it is clean and keep it polished with mothers or something like that. and when storing it, just wipe some oil or wd40 on it. I have done t to a couple before and iy does turn out real shiny, you will really like it!!
  5. Turbo, I Was the one that posted the 72 horse, and I dont know what the hell you are talking about but it has pleanty of low end!!! my cylinders are stock well 0.20 over with wiseco's. As for being peaky, its a freaking 2 stroke what 2 stroke isn't peaky when you port the hell out of it!!!!! and if you look at the post you will see that I never said it wasn't peaky, I just said I had pleanty of power!!!!
  6. bruce4031, I was at Dynoedge last night and I saw your power curve and compared it to my dyno chart. You didnt really loose any power anywhere, it just comes on a bit later in the band. And 4 to 5 horses is hardley even noticable!!! but you didn't loose any, you went in with 45 and came out with 58. Have you even rode this bike yet???? because if you have not then there is really nothing to complain about. And about you throwing money away, you spent the cash on the trinity carb system and the Dyno port pipe. If you wouldnt have spent the 500 on that and bought a real good set of pipes and put the the stock carbs back on, you will get that 5 horse back on the low end plus more.!!!
  7. YFZ all the way, as much as I hate to say it...... but it is the truth.
  8. I am very good friends with Rob and John from Dynoege I live close to them They have done my porting and a bunch of my friends porting. I have 175 psi of compressing and run straight pump fuel!!! and I have never had a problem with overheating or detonation. I have the Agressive trail port also mine hits 72 horsepower and I have pleanty of lowend and top end. Your 2 problems are that pipe and the carb setup. And by running that 50/50 mix you are losing power actually!!! I am not saying that you are wrong and they are right by all means but when it comes to porting there are alot of differences in setups. but it does sound like you should of went with the mild port job instead. I would get a set of pipes from a buddy or something and try it, see what it does and that carb system is not all it is cracked up 2 be. Just my 2 cents.
  9. Hey guys, what is the number to the stock needles? The 3 letter number that is stamped on them I mean. Thanks

  14. If you even think your gas is bad. then just replace it!!!
  15. I run a +6 and do mostly drag racing but It is all personal preferance, If you like to do wheelies and jump things then go with stock or no more than 4 inch over.
  16. My mods are close to yours and I hit 72 hp Aggressive trail port .020 over pro circuit pipes vforce +5 degrees on the timing k&n clamp ons Lame ass boost bottle 15/41 gearing Trinity stage 4 cool head with 19cc domes +6 chrome swingarm Stock carbs 340 mains, 35 pilots, stock clip on the needle We did test with cpi pipes and 34 mm carbs and I did hit 78 hp but I cant use CPI's because they do not have spark arrestors!!!
  17. I will be there along with a couple of my friends. I will be staying at the silver sands. Benshee whats going on?
  18. Pro circuit pipes require a very large pilot, you need at lease a size 30
  19. The bolt on arrestors will work fine, but you will still be over the legal limit of DB 96 at silver lake with either Toomeys or CPI's, you still wont get onto the dunes, the toomeys with hit somewhere around 112-119 without the hush kit and the CPI's I have seen them range between 102-109 so you better be carefull!!!
  20. Just buy the sparkys, 60 bucks a piece, they look like shit but they will work with CPI's And do not go with the Tomeys, if you motor is ported than it will not run!!! TR6 pipes do not work with a ported motor!!!!! they are junk, if you dont believe me, do a Dyno test!!, I have seen it
  21. Can you replace the sprocket and shift shaft seals without splitting the engine cases?
