Regardless this thing is crazy fast. Quote
pr0blumz Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Congrats! Welcome to the HQ. Not tryin to be a party pooper but I'd recommend you get rid of the boost bottle because all it lead to is cracked intake boots. When i first bought my bike I ran my bike with cracked boots for the longest before i looked found this site and found out it could cause serious damage. Funny things is, my boots were cracked for like a month with me riding and it didnt cause any damage at all. Quote
02screaminbanshee Posted August 20, 2008 Author Report Posted August 20, 2008 so do boost bottles do anything? or is it just a waste of space. Quote
pr0blumz Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 (edited) From what i've learned by reading this site and experienced, they are a total waste. The people who dont know much about banshees will swear it has something to do with a nitrous setup too...i've been accused of that a couple of times. Edited August 20, 2008 by pr0blumz Quote
LS1Inferno Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 they do nothing at all except give the company that makes it a 45 dollar profit LOL and yes they will rip intake boots, or crack a weld causeing a n air leak and then BAM there goes the top end. Quote

02screaminbanshee Posted August 21, 2008 Author Report Posted August 21, 2008 what is a crossover tube?.................................. god i have a lot to learn! Quote
travis6767 Posted August 21, 2008 Report Posted August 21, 2008 you can get the stock crossover from yamaha for $14 or on ebay or maybe someone on here has one, just have to ask, and for the filters if you want to stick with pod filters most guys go with k&n filters with outerwears, they work damn good, but they are not cheap, but nothing is cheap for a banshee! jamebo Posted August 21, 2008 Report Posted August 21, 2008 Welcome to the HQ, 02screaminbanshee. That's a nice looking Banshee, man. Heres a pic of a crossover tube, if you want to lose the bottle just pull it and replace it with one of these. The people who dont know much about banshees will swear it has something to do with a nitrous setup too...i've been accused of that a couple of times. Snuck the ol' nitro boost bottle in there, eh? Quote
