What should I be looking for? Any specific brands?

 

I want to attach the filters right to the carbs somehow as I have seen it done... do I need a kit?

 

I have 1 pwk 35 carb already and cable, just need another. Also, with the 2 carbs, how do the 2 cables work with the thumb throttle?

 

If anybody has what I need, or can help me out, let me know. I am ready to buy, just need some direction.

Motion pro has the cable you need, and you are gonna need to make sure you get 2 matching needles when you do the swap. as for intake, it just depends on what you wanna spen, cheapest are the UPP intakes. Expensive are the Po-Design billet intakes. And you can just run pod filters, or some people make boots to let you keep for stock airbox with the dual 35MM carbs. Jeff at F.A.S.T will have everything you need.

for the filters go to tsracing.com. They sell s&b filters. The one you want is the 8inch long ones that are at an angle. There is only one that is 8inches long so get that one. They also have the outerwears there too. As said before the motionpro cable is the way to go. For the intakes I like the boss ones you find on ebay from in2glamis. I think they are 120 bucks. Get some cel needles and around 155 main jets to get you started.

What do I do about my overflow bottle? Lose that to?

 

Thanks guys... Does K&N make the filters I am looking for to attach right to the carbs?

You can loose it, Get an aluminum bracket, or cut the back of your stock air box off and use it as a bracket.

 

The Boss racing intake from in2glamis is the one I am running with my PWK's. If you run this intake you will want Pod filters that have a 10 Deg angled flange. I tried the standard 20 deg angle flanges and they were angled way to much.

Ok... so can I just not use the overflow at all? Or should I try and mount it back up... where would I finf this aluminum bracket, and where would it mount on the frame if I lose the airbox?

 

I would really like to run K&N's right up to the carbs... where would I finf these "10 degree" angles flanged pod filters at?

I would keep the water bottle. Some people thow it away and run nothing. I guess it is your preferance.

The bracket just bolts to where the back bolts of the air box are. That is why I said you can just cut the rear part of the air box off and that will be your bracket.

 

I run the bracket with the spark plug holder. Kindof nice to keep a spair set under the seat. It has rubber seals to kee the threads and tip clean.

Running pods on the carbs is the way to go. Makes jetting much easier.

I got my Pod filters from Cascade Innovations. They are about right on on there price. They will seem a little higher than others but they are REAL K&N filters, not a no name cotton gause filter. If you just buy them on there web page they will send you the 20 deg ones so you should call them up and tell them that you want the 10 deg angle for 33-35 filters. K&N part number on the filters is RU-1090.

Wow Josh, that really helped. Thank you so much! I will run those 10 degree K&N pods, and I think I want the bracket too. Then all I'll need is one more carb and the intake.

One more question... if anyone can answer this. My bike right now has a petcock that looks to only weork with one outlet/carb tube. What do I do here... must I get another petcock as well? I was taking a look at Josh/s setup, and that got me thinking

Thats a Pingle dual outlet valve on his. the only drawback to the pingle is that it just on or off, no reserve. Your stock valve will work, just have to re-route some new fuel lines.

Yea it is a pingnel dual outlet. Yea it is a down side of not having a reserve. When I was running my stock stroke Mx ported cylinders with these dual 33's I just ran the stock setup. Since your banshee now only has a 2:1 you need to get a fuel line T. Run 1 hose from the petcock to the bottom of the T the out each side of the T to each carb.

 

I switched to the dual outlet petcock when I swaped to 4mill drag ported cylinders and cpi's. Wanted to make sure the bowls of the carbs stay full.

yep with a stock petcock and a little 60cent brass t or y from lowes or wherever but you may want to see about removing theball bearings out of the gas cap and drilling out the vents with that much carb i have 34PJ i dont rum em dry with a splitter andeven a fuel filter from autozone glass see through one. no flow problems. and my petcock inside has the screen reoved just because i have the filter make sure you dont accidentally buy and air stryker PWK

I hate to keep asking, but where do I find the fuel ine T? Thanks a ton to everybody today for helping... I am now on the hunt for some parts.
