98_banshee_newbie Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Hey guys My buddy doesn't want a two stroke So I havn't been able to talk him into a banshee. But he is going to buy a warrior. Does anyone have any warrior stories. Just want to know what up with them Quote
Dave I. Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 not the most powerful quad by any means but pretty much indestructable. great quad to learn on and beat up. i bought one for my girlfriend to learn on and it has been reliable and fun for her. you can get them cheap enough, ride them and sell them for the same price.... 98_banshee_newbie Posted June 27, 2008 Author Report Posted June 27, 2008 Yeah its bored and stroked to about 400cc so it should be alright has fmf pipes should be ok huh Quote
jamebo Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 I've had a couple of them, an 87 and an 01. I had a Yoshi pipe, K&N, and modded airbox on the 01. Like Dave I. said they're not the most powerful quads out there, but not bad at all as a trail quad in my opinion. Quote
bronco91shee Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 the only experience i had was i went to look to buy when and the trans was messed up, no third gear or sumthing. and it seemed to be kinda heavy. outside of that i have seen alot of them over the years on the trails, and the ppl i talk to that own them never have to much bad to say.... sounds like a good quad, i was looking at buyin my girl one as well.... U guys think it was a good deal? Whats the year and does it run good? I'd say as long as it runs fine that it was a great deal. Warriors are decent quads. Quote
dragbanshee Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Had a new 91 & 98 I took in trade one of the most reliable quads you could get and very predictable, yea thats a good deal if it runs good and looks decent. Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Hands down the best trail quad ever made... and the toughest thing on 4 wheels Here is an '01 I just finished parting out... Quote
dragbanshee Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Hands down the best trail quad ever made... and the toughest thing on 4 wheels Here is an '01 I just finished parting out... One of the better lookin warriors iv seen. Quote
HoldOntoTheeEnd Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 (edited) I had an 87 Warrior... my god that thing can take a beating after beating. Was bored to about 380, Supertrap exhaust, K&N air filter, 34PJ carb(jetted), adjustable shocks from a newer warrior, and finally some new plastics... Sold it to my dad for 1,000 after I rode it for four years. Never rebuilt the top end since I bought, so yeah they run damn good. Edited June 29, 2008 by HoldOntoTheeEnd Quote
shee rips Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 they are good quads. mostly just a cruiser imo. not so great for hard riding, but for an all day cruise they are comfortable, and they go forever on a tank of gas Quote
JasonsBanshee Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 Warriors are ok. I've never disliked them. It's not for me but my motto is at least they're riding. I've got some friends that are too broke to buy anything new so they won't buy anything at all. I'd much rather them get a blaster or warrior then upgrade later. At least that way they'd be riding and not sitting at home reading dirtwheels while I'm out tearing up the trails. Quote
