2strokespirit
In winter times or when the bike is cold and the oil thick, when you put it in gear its normal, just warm up the bike good and hold the clutch for a few seconds before putting into first gear. It could be that the clutch needs adjusting also.. Edited June 14, 2008 by 2strokespirit

2bzy2p
sounds like it just needs adjustment..if you cant take it out at the lever youll have to adjust it on the basket.
dragbanshee
Does it have an aftermarket lever on it? Sometimes those create the problems, I had that problem and put factory on and fixed it.
