hyperlite33 Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 So I got home today and found some red drips under my banshee on the garage floor...I just about had a heart attack when I found the red liquid dripping from the bottom case bolts thinking it was gear saver oil dripping out. :ermm: A little searching and turns out when I cleaned the filters last night the K&N oil dripped onto the case and out the middle hole underneath the intakes. :: :shoothead: :: I didn't even think I got that much one there! Moral to the story...don't be a retard like me and over-oil your filters! Quote

Moral to the story...don't be a retard like me and over-oil your filters! Hey Brian, I did that exact same thing a couple months ago. Did you use the aerosol spray can oil? It's really easy to put too much on. Now your banshee might run shitty because it will be rich... Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Your suppose to spray a light coat not spray the piss out of it to where it drips like a bitch....lol Quote

jamebo Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 I probably put too much oil on my foam filters because I really soak them down good, but then I squeeze all the excess oil out really well. I just want to make sure that everywhere is covered good. Probably a waste of oil/money but worth it for peace of mind. The K&N on my Shee I just lightly coat. Yeah it's easy to get too much on them.
