i just got done driving for 12 hours to get to ride my bike for 2 hours. I was down at winchester bay jumping my banshee and the chain came off. i looked around and the mounts for adjusting the chain tension were broken clear off. so i looked over the swingarm even more and the part welded for the rear shock was broken as well. I bought this swingarm a little over a year ago, it was one of those cheap ones off ebay. Now i never want to buy another one. I had a 6 in extended and i love it but i also love to jump. What brand is the best for jumping, which one can handle it?

Seems like a lot of punishment for a 6" swinger but Im not sure how well any of them would hold up to a lot of jumping, I havnt installed mine yet but thought I would have to give up the jumping. See what kind of input you get on this Im sure Ill learn a thing or two.LOL

yes i had 3 of those ebay swingarms on 3 bikes and all 3 broke at the shock mount, i ended up making a jig and building my own, no more breakage. it was hard to pass up a powder coated swingarm for 100 bucks though, thats why i didnt build them the first time, i guess live and learn, the saying is you pay for what you get! i will build them from now on for myself.

might try the havoc, ive heard good things about them.. going a little shorter will help out some, but if you want the beef you gotta get one of these bitches..

I just broke my +4 e-bay swinger (swingarmshop) at the shock mount a month ago drag racing through the whoops. It had a 1 year warrenty but was on the 3rd year. The round bar was only welded to the inside of the flat rectangular tubes, it spun and broke/tore the thinner metal on the flat surface. I think the swingers that have a rectangular tube or a round tube that is welded to the inside and outside of each tube are stronger. Also some swingers have some good gussets on the cross bar for the shock mount. The round swingers with the round bar for the shock mount are probably also stronger since the weld isn't just on a flat surface. I took my chances again and bought a new +4 tubular trellis design off e-bay. It has a 3 year warrenty so I guess I'll have to try to break it sooner than later. Any of the better known brands with a lifetime warrenty will cost you $600 or more including the round axel carrier.
