Bansh-eman Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 whats the deal with the yfz 1000 clutch plates and barnet steels thats what the FAST clutch is, just more surface area so it holds really well Quote
Flash and Flare Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 Some were I have the part numbers for the steels and fibers I use, there all OE Yamaha. If memory serves me correct there from a mid 80's 750cc Yamaha street bike. I believe this is also what Toomey sells for a Banshee clutch kit also. F&F Quote

Skidmark Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 R6 I think. Its a newer model, they hold up unbeleivably well. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 yea the R6 use a differant plate then the FZR bikes, but I think they still fit fine Quote
dajogejr Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 I've had no issues with my FAST Clutch for over 3 years. That being said, I'm just going to TRY something new....not to save cash, but to try something different. I'm getting Raptor 660 fibers and steels. Gonna give them a shot and see how they work. Again, absolutely can not beat the FAST clutch...however...if something breaks, it's nice to know you can hit a local stealership and get some plates if it's an emergency....same day Johnny on the spot.
