Ok just got some 28mm Keihin carbs and when I am riding threw trails and what not, and just pull the clutch in to shift or anything the motor revs high and stays there until I pop the throttle and then it idles down really good and idles great. SO I figured the throttle cable may need cleaned so I lubed it real good and took the slides out of the carbs and cleaned them with very fine steel wool and put it all back together and does the same thing any suggestions would be awesome!

Make sure the cable isnt pinned under or in between anything like the tank

if that doesnt work buy a new cable

my buddies dirtbike did the same thing and his cable had been pinned against his tank

have your checked for air leaks, that can cause your rpm to go up. if not then its your slides

I lube my slides on my PWK33's with cable life lube. I have never had a problem with them sticking but it cant hurt especially since I run light tension slide springs. On the back of the can it says it works for carb slides too.

I dont run those carbs but I know of some carb tops if they are screwed down to tight it makes them stick.

Like on the stock carbs with the TORS removed you have to leave them finger tight and use the locking tabs to hold them in place.
