Im trying to replace the bearings etc in the rear end. I have a swingarm bolt that is completly frozen, and no amount of persuasion has gotten it to budge. I have tried heat, tons of PB blaster and a 10 pound maul. I have a replacement swinger and bolt. Whats my easiest way without damaging anything else to get this thing off?

Get a bigger hammer... when they rust in they are a bastard to get out, just WD 40 it as good as you can, let it set over night, then beat it out the next day.

if u have a sawzal sp? you can cut it between the frame and the swingr, you will scratch your frame some but it will come off

I was thinking that too. Im not too worried about scratching the frame, I just want the least amount of effort possible. Is there enough clearance to do it? Is there a blade that will work better than others?

Are you taking the weight off the wheels? I think I remember supporting it so the rear wheels touched enough to keep it from moving when I drifted the tube out and may have disconnected the rear shock..

same thing happened to one of my a-arm bolts on my gfs quad...they are a BITCH to get out when they rust solid in there expecially when there rubber mounted (swingarm isnt i dont think), have fun

can u turn the bolt???

if it doesnt turn try brakin it loose with an impact even if it spins already, spin it as fast as u can anyways it might brake up the rust.. also u can try to sit the frame take off the shock and linkage and move the swinger as u hit on the bolt.. tip the quad on its side put some brake clean on it then try wd-40 and let it sit , then heat her up good on the swinger part and wak away ..iff all else fails cut the thing off with a torch set haha
