downNdirty
I'm looking to buy a flywheel puller off of ebay. I have seen different style pullers. Does it matter which one I go with? And Does anyone know what size it should be so I dont get the wrong one. I saw 27mm left hand thread. Is that right? Any info is great. inthemail
got the ebay link?? the ones you find on ebay are pretty universal as far as pullers go. the left hand thread part definitly sounds right. always go with the right tool for the job  flywhel puller works lie a charm with a rubber strap wrench! Bansh-eman
here you go Puller Link they are pretty standard, make sur you put a little grease on the threads and on the part that will contact your crank before to turn it down

NYUK
also make sure the threads in the flywheel are clean. i buy the pullers 2 at a time. they are made to break. they are like 14 dollars or so from motion pro.
meanv10
Is there any way/ tool you can use to maybe make a flywheel puller?
inthemail
yea but that would require a small machine shop properly setup to be worth anything to the average mechanic, so just buy one.
Fireroad Express
gotta watch some of those cheap chineese pullers. the threads on them are like butter.
Male Supremacy
gotta watch some of those cheap chineese pullers. the threads on them are like butter. The one I got from Jeff at F.A.S.T. worked great for me, and it seems to be great quality. I think it was about $15 give or take.
slim~shady
I bought myne from www.rjatv.com it's a motion pro and man does it come in handy, it's nice when you have the right tools.
sinisterboo
its not always that the pullers are cheap making their threads "soft as butter". which would you rather strip? you flywheel? or your cheap puller? just make sure your threads are clean, and thread it in ALL the way, and pop, off she comes. sinisterboo
P.S. I bought mine from motion pro in 2001. its been loaned out, lost, found, and has bout 50 flywheels under its belt and still kickin. great product.
Shawn G
Any advice for when the flywheel WON'T come off? I bought the puller and an adjustable timing plate from Ricky Stator, but the flywheel won't budge. So now my wife's the lucky one who'll get to try out the +4 advance, because wouldn't you know it...her's came right off!

I thought I read in my Clymers that a hard shot to the flywheel could destroy the magnetism?????
