  1. DO NOT!!!! use SOS or Brillo pad, that would scratch the shit outa it, use carb cleaner and a buffing wheel on a dremmel, works everytime.
  2. Give Flotek a call, he can set you up, he's a great porter and his prices are great, he ported myne and he did an excellent job and his customer service was top notch. Flotek
  3. I bought myne from www.rjatv.com it's a motion pro and man does it come in handy, it's nice when you have the right tools.
  4. Ok, what have i done wrong, not disagreeing but make it make sence to me what i did wrong.
  5. My brother in law bought those and he said they are better then reg old easy outs, he works in a machine shop so i would guess he uses the shit out of them.
  6. Yah the 4 mil will help out for sure, and get the matching port for it and it will be a new bike.
  7. Nope everything is new, bike is an 06 with minimul hrs on it, brand new pressure plate, brand new clutch boss, stock basket but no wear at all. I cannot complain about yur service, u shipped it quikly and i got what i paid for, i just dont think the clutch holds up, it's slipping now with only 4 rides on it, and it's not like a drag all day and beat the hell out of it, i dune alot and ride normal most of the time.
  8. Well I went out and bought a fast clutch for my 421 cub because everybody says that they will hold up. Yah it's fast allright...it wore fast thats for sure, got about 4 rides on it and it's slipping, complete waiste of $. So i think i am going to try an ebc myself and see how that holds up.
  9. Thats what i would try, check the reeds, make sure they look ok. I dont really think you have a spark problem because you said you found dirt so that leads me to beleive it's a fuel problem, when you cleaned the carbs did you pull out the mains and pilot jets to make sure there isnt sand stuck in one of them? it's happen to me before, bike was running like complete crap, cleaned the carbs like 5 times but never really inspected the jets, i found 1 spec of sand caught in one of my main jets that the carb cleaner was not getting out, so i took a tooth pick and pushed it out. Put it back together and she ran fine. Hope this helps.
  10. Well i have been kind of missing in action for a while, had some problems in life but i will be posting and being a part of this comunity alot more from now on.
  11. Well i just had Denny at Flotek do my LT250R and i am more then happy. Although i have not put it together yet as i am waiting on some gaskets it looks great and the turn around was great as well. He got it back to me when he said he would. His price was the best i found. If i were you i would get in touch with him and see what he can do for you. His customer service was great as well, i called him 3 times to ask about other mods to compliment the port work and he called me back everytime. He was recomended to me by another member who had him port his shee and it rips. I cant wait to get my 250 together.
  12. Ok i got my lt250r cylinder back today from flotek and i gotta say i am very impressed, this thing looks great. Denny was recomended to me by another member and i am glad i went with him. Not only did he have the best price but his customer service was great the whole time, i called him on 3 different occasions and he called me back all 3 times promptly and was very helpfull and knowledgable about what other mods i should get to compliment the port job. The turn around time was great as well, got it back to me when he said he would, when i built my 421 i had tony doukas do the work and his customer service sucked, never called me back and was 2 months late in getting the cub to me, just horible. I cant wait to put it together and feel the power, i will post again when it's running and let you guys know how it runs. I would recomend flotek to anybody and he will be getting all of my work from now on. Plus i like the little guy verses the big guy...tony doukas....who cant even call me back.
  13. Yah i actually just bought some bearings and seals and some brake pads and a chain from him, great prices and he shipped it fast, got it in 3 days. I will deffinitally go back to him and would recomend him for sure.
  14. I keep hearing alot of people saying to retard my timing on my shee to get better performance out of it. I just want to understand what this will do and how it works before i go and think about doing something like this. If anybody has the time to break this down into terms so that a 5 yr old will understand it ...lol...i would really be greatfull. Thanks in advance
  15. I dont know too much about any other pipes but the toomeys. I just bought the new t6's from toomey and i love them. They were very easy to install and made a huge difference in the power. The only bad thing, the price is steep at $629.99 before shipping from rockymountainatv.com But like i said, i highly recomend toomey, everything fit perfect and was easy to install.
