Ive read a little about these and was wondering if it is something that is really needed? Do they work well and if so which is best to get. My bike is an 06 completely stock.

yes u need one i learned the hard way..if ur chain breaks better look at buying new casses

I have one on both mine, never used it yet. It is cheaper than new cases. Just a cosmetic break will reduce the value of the quad. I have seen a lot of broken cases on banshees from the chain, even welded up a couple.

I wonder if anyone here broke a chain when running a saver and seen if it really works.

T.M designworks.

Ditto. have one of the billet ones, also have one of the TM design ones. The TM is a really nice unit.

no get plastic NOT BILLIT. The metal ones do not give plastic does. TM and others are a molded fit as in they fit the case on both sides. Billet ones are only bolted on and I have seen them protect the case but break the bolt holes out for the shift drum. Billet ones are junk. Dont buy a TM unless you have the money to spend. I bought a look alike off ebay. it fit the same but didnt have the lable TM and was 20 bucks to the TM 50 or 60.

I had a CS on and when my chain broke it sent the chain AND the case saver up through the case... That was a DG billet one so needless to say Iam not a fan of those ones.. I would say one of the plastic one like above should work well.. I think part of my problem was I had a 13t sprocket and therefore the CS wasn't as close to the chain as it probably should have been..

ok. Ill definately get one. I got the tm design works chain guide when i got my rear skid from prm.

Ill definately be getting one of the poly urethane ones, like you guys said they tend to give a little more than metal.

Also thanks for the pic, now i understand what it does. Definately getting one!

I saw that modquad one on your website F.A.S.T.(first place i looked), if everyone says the tm one is the best, ill proly go with it, dont wanna pinch pennies on something this important.

Has anyone else had good luck witht he modquad ones?

Thanks again guys!

i like the T.M. one because it isnt just held in place buy 3 bolts i fills he whole space in between your sprocket and case so it has lots of suport for when a chain does come off.
