jbooker82 Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 Cheap greas guns suck. As for the needle. By the needle then get a grease zerk that will screw in to the needle. That way you can just snap the needle in to the flexable hose and not have to take the tip off the hose. Quote
Lepew Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 Lincoln brand performs very well. I perfered the standard handle not the pussy pistol grip. You can't put enough pressure on the grease with a pistol grip unless you work out your grip jacking off all the time. Alimite (spelling?) makes top notch accesories and tips. I use to wear out tips regularly, so I got a chance to try many brands. Quote
csrmel Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 i got a little shitty chinese grease gun for a decade now with no problems. once i lost it and it sat out in the back yard in the dirt every day for a year. still works like new. i cant see spending bucks on a name brand gun when the cheapo ones last so long and cost as much as a 6er. yamaha04 Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 im a heavy equipment operator i have used alot of different grease guns and by far lincon holds up and isnt a pain in the ass to get the air out. also i run a hoe,ram for time to time in other words a big ass jackhammer that goes on the end of an excavator. they need a shit load of grease every hour of use. lincon takes around 400 pumps put tube of speacial grease but the CAT, Cattipillar grease guns takes about 200 pumps per tube. so if you looking to pump a shit load of grease cats the way but for you aplication with the needle greaser lincon would be my choice. Bansh-eman Posted January 17, 2008 Author Report Posted January 17, 2008 (edited) i got a little shitty chinese grease gun for a decade now with no problems. once i lost it and it sat out in the back yard in the dirt every day for a year. still works like new. i cant see spending bucks on a name brand gun when the cheapo ones last so long and cost as much as a 6er. i wasted money on a bullshit chinese gun before and the fuking thing didnt get one single drop of grease in the zerk. instead the grease spilled out the sides of the tip. i tried to adjust it and put more pressure and then the fuking cap popped off and shot grease all over the damn place. where are you guys buying the lincon guns and what are they running you? i saw a gun at napa last night that was like 35 bones, i think it was there brand... edit: i see one on sears.com, its a lincon with a pistol grip thing like a fire extinguisher and a flex hose... might go grab this today if they have it in stock... ahh that god damn thing is internet only... If you had a pistol grip and had to use it a lot your sex life would suffer. Quote
