phxrider Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Go to Home Depot and get this Green cutting wheel that attaches to your drill. It's a big wheel, so it's hard to get a crooked line. They sell them for about $7.00 - $8.00 in the tools department. Use masking tape to set your lines on where you want to cut. Keep the fenders on the bike and cut towards the spinning direction of the wheel. Becareful with the pipes when you do the front fenders. I taped some cardboard on mine just incase I cut too far. With rear fenders: With out: Quote
slingshotmb Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 (edited) I just did mine..i used a jigsaw. i did leave them on the quad. i left the brackets attached . i unbolted the headlights(let them hang) i rough cut about three inches bigger then i wanted i did not mark or tape just eyed it up..(prob. not smart) i angled the bottom of the jigsaw to glide on the plastic ..i did smear armorall on the plastic. i cut one side where i wanted it and used a utility knife for corners and shaping. i eyed the other side to match..some how it looks even. scraped the utility knife blade to clean it up..thats it for now. before.... after...
