I can get some works shocks built never used taken off the bike to put aftermarket shocks on for 200 bucks shipped?? oh alright please tell me where i can get them. I would like to purchase them asap

I did the exact same thing you want to do.. I only had to take off a little bit of the upper mount on the frame with a grinder... then your going to need to take off a small portion of the lower shock mount. then I cleaned it up with a file..

Hey installed the yfzshocks with my leager +2+1 arms and i decided to take the brakes off all together because I didn't have extended lines and didn'nt need brakes anyways. But when i turn all the way the rim hits the arm. If i adjust the tie rods it helped and it doesn't hit anymore just making sure If I need to keep the brake rotor on even though i took the brakes off. I just got rid of all of it

I weigh 150lbs. what is a good starting point. how many clicks compression and how many clicks rebound.... let me know thanks ,Steven

Oh you can say that again. Boy do I wish i had a stock shee again. My bike seized on sand highway. locked up pretty good. tore her down. had to hammer the piston out of the cylinder. it melted to the frikin thing. bored it out put it all together.

Oh I didn't bore my stock cylinder on purposed. it seized twice. so I HAD to bore it out. crank and rod were fine. Just wondering.

haven't got a chance to ride her yet... hopefully halloween is our first glamis trip

Does boring out your bike up the displacement in cc's. or is it mainly stroke? my bike is bored two sizes over stock. stock stroke. The charts are a little confusing to me thanks for the help guys ,Steven

no they are +2+1 the arms are from 2002.... laeger offered the +2+1 option. they are from a guy in texas. he stopped riding i guess his family only went riding about once a year.

I'm with you on this one locogato. I got my 2004yfz450 for my 12th birthday. And to this day it has stock crank, piston, rings, and still running 5 seasons strong! hahaha

Here is the completed bike. Also i got everything powdercoated Grab bar, Kick start, tie rods, arms, shock coils, brake pedal, shifter.....

maybe theres a full craftsman toolbox underneath the seat!!! :biggrin:

Hey everyone looks like yamaha has jumped back into the game. This new bike looks pretty sick. The only thing I don't like are the front fenders! They should have kept last years plastics! But it says a wet weight of 405lbs. No more oil tank, integrated the oil into larger cases. This thing puts my 2004 yfz450 in the back seat!!!! But my banshee isn't scared and still standing strong.
