its getting to be that time of year. had a few snow fluries here today. got me thinking about running the bike this winter instead of putting it away until spring. whats everybody run for traction aids? snowmobile studs or tire screws? do you use some type of sealant for the stud holes? i got about 3 miles of frozen lake to play on.(more than enough room to melt a couple of pistons! ). just wondering what type of stud to use and how many to put in.

i use progold or kold kutter studs... about 2,000 of them

i have you beat on area... 13 x 28 miles of ice...

ive wanted to see how the snowmobile studs work tho.. i thought i would burn off my tires so they are slick then snowmobile stud them up.. let me know what you think

i always just screwed sheet metal screws into some not so great tires. get the 5/16" head and put them all over. nice thing is that they are very cheap and if you lose a few so what, youre not out much.

Go to your local shop and look in the "Motovan ATV 08" catalog, pg 329 there is some ice screws, we use about 500 of them for a set of 4 tires.

snowmobile studs work well for non drag bikes, But if you really wanna hook. Go get your self some chisel tooths! its what the drag sleds run!

I run tubes in my tires so they do not leak.

these tires are for sale for 100.00 plus shipping of ya know anyone looking for a set

Hop on Ebay, get a couple thousand ice screws (you'll need them up front to remember) get out your dewalt and find a good program on TV and start fillin those tires!

Be sure to put down a peice of cardbord so not to scratch the hardwood.....not that I would know :whistling:
