HOW CAN I TAKE MY REGULAR BANSHEE ENGINE OUT AND PUT IN A KAWASAKI NINJA ENGINE.

you will have to fabricate some motor mounts and do some cutting on the frame to acommidate the differant motor setup

the most important part will be making sure the motor sits square so its lined up perfect..it will require alot of fabrication

WHY put a junk motor on a good banshee all that workand riggin for what kind of gain not too much against a real banshee motor.

i think your missing the whole point of snopcyzinski's post. generaly your either one of two types of people... your either the mechanical kind of guy who looks at something, gets an idea and a vision of how it's going to work then dives in and only asks questions when he runs into a brick wall, or your the kind of guy who has an idea of what he thinks would be cool then ask's a bunch of questions and either never fallows up on the project or tries to do it and fuck's it up regardless of how much info he gathers because he just doesnt have a mechanical nature. nothing against the later because it takes all kinds but something tells me that 504 is that later type of guy since most welder in hand type guys would ask "has anyone ever swaped a ninja motor into there shee and how much of a whore is it?" plus he types in all caps and that leads me to believe that he's a 15 year old kid with big dreams and a keyboard...

 

as for swapping out your shee engine to a ninja motor first pull your shee engine, next loosley fit your ninja motor in your frame and start looking for things that wont work, start coming up with solutions to the thing's that wont work. if your ninja motor wont fit in your frame in the stock location of your shee motor then you need to figure out how to cut your frame and expand the engine area so your engine will fit and the frame will hold together safely. i could go on but either you get it or you dont. pull your motor and then try and fit the new engine in the frame, either it will all come together or you will bolt your engine back in and forget it. good luck

No I understood what he said just perfectly but I believe that It's always better to ask any and all questions that you may have before starting a big project like that. It doesn't really matter what kind of person he is when it comes to being mechanically inclined or not. He may be able to take a piece of sheet metal and steel and make office furniture with hand tools. I have no clue what it takes to drop a street bike engine into a banshee frame so that's why I redirected him to Loco since his raptor has a streetbike engine. Your assupmtion as to what kind of person 504 is or his age because he types with CAPS LOCK BEING STUCK ON may be 180 degrees off. I hit the caps lock button on accident too. That's why I never judge a book by it's cover. I have nothing against Snop, from what I read from him he sounds like a great guy and he's certainly got a wealth of info that he brings to this site which makes this site so great. Very rarely does some get bashed for asking what may seem like a simple question to some and complicated to others. I just hate seeing people get made fun of for asking simple questions.

ive done 2 motor swaps in my day that both turned out really nice. here are a few things i learned.

 

1. if you wanna put a streetbike motor in something, it needs to be a tall frame.

2. banshee has a short frame.

3. the only engine meant for a banshee frame in a banshee engine.

 

i would stay far far away from this swap!!

i have seen a couple of warrior frames with ninja motors in them that seemed to fit pretty decent... i don't even remember seeing any frame cuts, just some custom motor mounts... i would also recomend not using a ninja, unless you just have one sitting around with a great motor wrecked frame... find something like a gsxr or fj1200

Not to be a ass or something,

but its not a good idea, built a cup or something, before you tear the frame apart. With that motor you will have to upgrade brakes, suspension, and lots more, its to heavy. There are much better options than that.
