Bansh-eman Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 i dought anyone has dyno resluts for all of those pipes off the same motor... Quote
Handyman Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 From what I have read the HP that these pipes produce are so close that you probably won't even notice. They are all good pipes though and either pipe will be a good choice. Quote

How about you tell us where and how you ride, whats done to your bike, and what you want the bike to run like. Quote

I have a Q about pipes also what is better. CPI small bore in frames. OR Shear in frame pipes. and is there any other good in frame drag pipes. Quote

Pipes cant be judged as good better best... there is too many differances to compair... the "best" drag pipe isnt the "best" trail pipe. and vice versa... its all about where in the rpm range you need to power.. Shear come on later then CPI but stay on... Quote

You are right i think what i need is a pipe that has some mid and a lot of top end i do some trail riding but im tring to make more of a drag/rode racing banshee. so what do you think Quote
Handyman Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 WOW you're talking about 2 different power applications...I can't help you on this one but I'm sure someone can Quote

How about you tell us where and how you ride, whats done to your bike, and what you want the bike to run like. yer i realize that, its also why i asked where the most hp is made and at what rpm... ok about the bike and stuff its bone stock, been saving for the big three mods for a little and have almost got enough so its time to research. i ride most flat out on long gravel roads and occasionally down the beach, i dont race mx but do have some fun down the local track. went to my firts proper drag meet and beat a stock raptor and trx450r. but than i came to a banshee with a a whole lot more than me and i was eliminated... (bloody can-am renegrade was the winner). and if you mean how i ride, i have a quarter twist throttle and its either on or off i first though the toomey t6s but have heard the dmcs create the best overall power thanks to anyone that can help Quote
MarineNYC Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 I run the DMC's and I wouldnt trade them for anything. Quote

shanYE west Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 (edited) You realize that just because a pipe makes big hp doesn't mean its the right pipe for you. How about you tell us where and how you ride, whats done to your bike, and what you want the bike to run like. I agree.. It all depends on what type of riding you do. The Toomey, Pro Circuit and DMC are all around pipes.. while the PT mid is a bottom end pipe. I've never used the FMF SST's so I can't comment on them. Also a builder's motor can favor one pipe over the other.. So there really isn't one pipe better then the other its just a matter of where you want the power and the fit/finish/looks of the pipe. I prefer PT pipes myself.. For tight woods and MX (bottom end power) I like the PT mids, and for open trails, TT racing and Dune riding I like the PT Hi-Rev pipes.. And I think the chrome is the best out there next to buying pipes bare and having them chromed yourself. I like the 916 for a all-around pipe. I think its unique in looks and the way it sounds. Thats why I like it over the Toomey's Edited October 22, 2007 by Fouledout421 Quote
Hulio-mv Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 i run the pcs and the mods in my sig and according to a dyno it makes power to 9300 rpm 51hp and 32lb torque and i ride pretty much everything hope the numbers help but every motor is different and every dyno is different so take it for what it is worth Quote
