I can not remember which axle it was that you guys where having issues with...

was it the

Durablue or the G Force?

as far as installation or bending?

I think the durablue was bending and I've heard some of some install problems with the G-force

well i know one for them everyone was having issues installing because of the little clip. but my concern was with them bending... i had a lonestar but it got stolen with all the other parts. im debating to just suck it up and buy another one or try a new brand... right now im leaning towards sticking out the lonestar.

Yeah it was the durablue that was bending. The install problem with the G-force had somthing to do with the wrenches and the lock nuts. But.. Just what I heard.. I use a durablue on my 450 and havn't had a problem with it yet (4yrs old) Knock on wood!!..

The bike shops on the Oregfon coast told me they had issues with the g-force axles. So we bought a durablue when the lonestar broke and its been a pretty good axle.

imagine a shop telling you the cheeper axle had problems to upsell you on another product with a higher profit margin. my buddy has been running a g-force on his 80+ hp cub bike for over 2 years now with no problems. we have a lonstar axcaliber on one of our 350 bikes with no problems except that the chrome rusted out within 6 month's of installation. i have never ran a durablue so i cant say anything about them but for my money the next axle i get will be a g-force...

You know I am kind of tired of everyone making dealerships and shops look like a bunch of money hungry pricks. The shop we ended up getting the axle from is one we have been going into for 14 years. I know the owner personally, hell he even calls me for advice from time to time. I just got a call from them 2 weeks ago cause they had a guy with a 2 into 1 pipe and he couldn't get the bike jetted right. So, yes I trust Ron at Bay area Yamaha in Coos Bay, OR. He is a honest and down to earth guy who wont bullshit you.

you know, bay is one of the major sponsors on our site and whenever i'm down south and need anything i go to bay to get it. and you are correct, ron and mike are stand up guys who go the extra mile to take care of you. and the point wasnt to make anyone sound like a money hungry prick but a shop is in buisiness to make money so why would any shop tell you to buy your parts online somewhere else? it's just not smart buisiness. not saying theres anything wrong with a shop trying to keep your money with them, just saying that i know several people who have been running g-force axles for a couple years with no problems...

you can`t beat the g force price. as good as any made. durablue are junk in my opinion. and i have had many of them. the lock nut is over engineered junk.dominator, lonestar and g force. are the way to go.

you do have to know jesus to get durablue to honor the warranty also.

Both dominator and lonestar axles are top notch and I don't think I've ever heard a negative review of either of them. I'd fork out the extra coin for one of those simply cause they're proven...but that's just me.
