You might be eble to get it out by putting some oil back in and draining it out. If it is the little o-ring on the dipstick, it might flex and come out. Probably not though.

Yea, try it. At least you din't do what i did one time. I stripped the plug and spent 2 days of frustrated concide chizeling to finnally get it loosened up. Thank god yamaha made their cases and plugs out of white metal. It was easy to get a bite on with a screwdriver and other tools. Even so, it still was a son of a bitch. But for you, if it doesn't drain out then maybe you could take you oil tank out and turn it upside down to get the ring to come back to the hole. Shake it well as it will probably be stcking to everything due to the oil in there. Good luck man

Why not just take the side case off and get it out? It takes about 5 minutes to take the side cover off. Just drain your oil into a clean container so you can reuse it and same with the coolant. Pretty easy stuff.

I agree, I would pull the cover and get it out. Wouldn't want to take the chance of little pieces jamming into things and causing problems. Who knows, maybe nothing would happen, but I think it is worth the time to get it out. My $0.02.

take the hose off of the collant inlet, and let it drain into a bucket. make sure the radiator cap is still on because it will cause backpressure in the system and it wont fully drain until you want it to. (easier on the mess you "might" have to clean up). make sure the hose is in a bucket, and then take off the cap. There souldnt be too much coolant left over after you do that. Take off the bolts for the side cover. i would recommend getting a new gasket for it also, its not worth it leaking after lol... ask me how i know

whats the worst that could happen? everything in there is hardened, not like its going to break a hole in your case.

Okay my dad kind of agrees, he said it should grind up and come out in the next oil change if i run it considering everything in there is hardened metal. the reason im considering just running it is because the owner that had it before me stripped all the screws around the cases. how do i get them out? all i know is as soon as they are out im putting allen heads in them.

this way wouldnt work any how because the hole that the oil goes through to gte inside the case is much saller then that oring. like these guys said just take off the cover and reuse the fluid.

Just fix it the right way the first time. If you have to pull the engine out to get all your stripped cover screws out, that's what I would do and get new ones along with a new gasket and O-ring.

You don't want that shit getting chewed up in your clutch cover - going thru your clutch - or getting into any bearings.

Hell even try using a flashlight and make a little wire hook and go fishing for it.

The way I usually get stripped screws out is by using a dremel to cut a groove in the head of the screw and use a flat blade screw driver to get it loose then throw the p.o.s. screws in the trash. Vice grips may work as well.
