papa_smurf49319 Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 I know its been discussed millions of times, but i was kinda hoping you guys could tailor fit a tire for me. I need a good all around tire for the rear. I ride up at baldwin michigan, they have sandy trails just like dune sand (almost need paddles). Also grated dirt rodes and powerlines. I want a tire that hooks awesome. Quote
KlotzBanshee Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 You would do fine with any descent set of knobbies. ITP Holeshots (I have the XCR-03 Quote
locogato11283 Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 kenda knarly or stock yfz450 tires... Quote
peak-j Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 I just put kenda knarly's on mine and I like the way they hook. That is all I can tell you for now because I haven't got to run them long enough to see how they wear. So far so good. Quote
shee rips Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 i have maxxis sur tracs right now and im gonna basically quote what asswhore said. they are real shitty on hard surfaces but pretty good in sand and mud. they throw a sweet roost too. they shoot baseball size rocks over berms pretty good (note to self : dont park my truck outside of a berm) They are also reversible one way is for mud the other for sand. They dont seem that heavy to me. they were on it when i bought the quad so i dont really have anything to compare it to except my buddies quad with fatties instead of sst's and he had bearclaws and that bike felt like a dog compared to mine. his top end has less than half the hours on it too. I got a set of kenda knarleys on order though  Quote
Snopczynski Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 I would run a pure sport realtor. Its a bit heavy, but they take abuse well and hook up awesome in sand, dirt, and mud. Quote

. Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 this is what I run and they grab on everything. They arent extremely heavy (like my realtors or sur trak's) and you can get them in a 21 instead of 22. They are a mud tire so they are a little softer of a compound, but they lasted me 2 hard seasons of riding and I could get away with a third if I wanted to. papa_smurf49319 Posted July 10, 2007 Author Report Posted July 10, 2007 Well i have pretty much desided on which tires i want to get. Im going with the Kenda Knarly's in the rear 20x11x9. Up front im going to go with Kenda Klaws but magic racing only offers them in 22 not 21's will that make much of a difference. I cant decide which rims to go with doulgas quad roks, or itp t9 pro series. They both look good which one is stronger? Quote
WALLACE84 Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Another michigander hey? you wont be disapointed with the knarlys Quote
