Picts of the Quicksand issue

its pretty hard to see the gold in the picts but i circled them in red. also notice the pits and scratches from the chromer. im hoping that gary had it drop shipped from the chromer and didnt look at this peice and say it was up to par

 

when i pay top notch prices and then wait 3 months for something that was supposed to be ready in 2 to 3 weeks i expect top notch quality

Those weld areas were not cleaned properly. Maybe you can hire a mexican to polish it for you. :biggrin:

Yea those area's like that are frequently skipped by chromers. Reason is they like to walk up to the big buffing wheel and let it do all the work except it won't reach those area's well. Those small area's are where all the time in preperation is at. That's really what you call cutting a corner.

his work looks like shit,i use a guy up here in el monte ca,which is about 3 hrs north of san diego and he is real cheap and does excellent work he re chromed my swingarm for 150 bucks and he actually got it done in 2 weeks his # 626-448-3607 talk to steve,u can ship it and he will get it done fast and ship it out.

i just spent a shit ton of money getting a brand new swinger from him. so im going to make sure he corrects it. im not going to spend another 150 bones on top of what i spent already

i am sure those were drop shipped ffrom the chromer. gary wouldnt let those arms go out like that. i have his arms in black and they look awesome. my bro has some in chrome and they look nice as well. my brother bent an a arm and gary had one back out to him in a week..garys service is excellent and im sure he didnt know those looked like that..

It looks to me like whoever did the chroming didnt take the time to make sure that those areas were clean and prepped before they got chromed. I have a buddy who prepped all his own stuff and you can really see the spots that werent smooth turned out just like that. Hope you get the problem taken care of.
