im thinking about jumping ship if my wife will let me, im starting to like those new 525 outlaws, it would be perfect for where ive been riding at lately, but she wont let me have cake and pie both so the banshee would have to go, a pic is in my sig and it doesnt look much different than that now but it has some crappy looking pc pipes, and handguards on it, my mods are in sig and the top end has aprox 10-12hrs use

Not sure what its worth, but I will tell you to get a Raptor 700 over a new outlaw. I thought about an outlaw till I looked at them in person. That IRS looks pretty chicken shit to me.

i agree with the shee i like the raptor 700 over the outlaw.im going to get one but im keeping my shee. i might wait and see what the new ones look like in june maybe they will have a black one or some different colors than 07

guys i love the banshee, ive outran everyone that i have raced, but its too much in the trails now with the dune port, and now it seems like everyone back at my hometown has one when i was the only person to have it back in the summer, id rather not get the 700 cuz we usually play musical chairs and i can ride it all day if i want to, i know you guys are pissed at me lol, but i think that i would love that 525 in the trails

well the ktm motor thats in the new outlaws would be badass but have you ever tryed to work on a predetor or outlaw. F#$K THAT. you have the take half the plastics off then the tank just to get at the sparkplug. oh yeah and just taking the plastics off is no easy takes they use or did use both metric and standard size bolts and nuts so it a guessing game but anyway the IRS i dont really like but whatever you will get whatever you want. the only thing about the new outloaw is that ktm 525

I went to school with one of the engineers that worked on the suspension for the Outlaw and the steering and suspension for the Predator. I am not sure how he got a job at Polaris, let alone kept it so far. I always figured he would be professionally unemployed or a used car salesman. I didn't feel safe within 100 yards of anything he worked on. :shoothead:

I promise that the 700r will hand the outlaw its ass too. Look at the outlaw from the side, its the ugliest damn thing made. The back tires goofey to me.

most 4 strokes are like that actually... they dont foul plugs like 2 strokes do so its not as big of a deal to get to them...any reason your not thinking of a yfz450 or a trx450??? my wifes got a yfz450 and its a really nice bike....

im a lil too big for a yfz, im 6'3, and i do like the trx's, but i think the oulaw is better in the woods, also i wasnt impressed with the power on the 700 rappy, i rode it and lost to a t5 equiped banshee

If your going to get an outlaw why dont you just get a nice utility machine. The out law is just a 2wd utility with a manual clutch. Look at the stats compaird to a utility. They have as much ground clearance, weigh about the same, and seat hight.

 

Get you a Can Am 800.

The KTM engines also carry the stigma that they are incredibly difficult to work on. This would be in reference to the engine itself and not the bike packaged around it. The KTM engines tend to be some of the highest tech engines on the market, but then again they are Austrian and weird. :blink:

That doesnt sound right... I raced my bros banshee with CPIs and killed it. If you were not impressed with the 700s power you are going to be really sad when you get the outlaw. Not trying to be an ass or anything, just dont want you buying a quad that is going to turn out a flop.
