dajogejr Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Quickly...its a device that through centrifugal force, forces weights against the clutch creating more pressure on the plates so they don't slip and you get improved power transferred from the motor to the tranny to the tires. They are pretty much a MUST for any drag racing. A lot of hopped up duners like them too... You can go to their website and find out more info... trouble is...I can't find their website at this moment... Quote

korndawg Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 K&T performance also sells the lockups and the covers, and I'm hearing that they have a better price on them than direct drive. Here is their website http://www.ktperformance.com/home.asp Quote

I have been very happy with the several units that I have used of theirs. Quote
Animalman294 Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 They pay for them selves after a while because they also make your clutch plates last about three time longer than standard stiff springed clutch's........... Quote
Alex! Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 Can you still use your clutch to shift with these or are they just for racing? Quote
FireHead Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 Can you still use your clutch to shift with these or are they just for racing? Yes, you can still use your clutch to shift, but depending on the rpm it can be really hard to pull the clutch in. Adding a pancake bearing is probably a good idea. Quote
DUB Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 This prob wont help you much but........I LIKE MINE!!!!!! Quote

FireHead Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Pancake bearing? What is that for exactly? It's an after market assembly that replaces the stock clutch adjuster assembly in the clutch hat (pressure plate). It prevents the clutch ball from welding to the pushrod. Quote

I haven't bought anything from that guy, but I do know that most shops that sell these, all get the parts from the same place. Quote
