For those who use or used A 2 INTO 1 38mm. Does it use less gas than the stock setup. In a couple of hours of riding I go thru 5 gallons of gas which is no big deal. I might try a friends 2 into 1 and just curious if it uses less gas. I gathes 2 26's actually I have 28's so 2 28's =56 as opposed to 1 38 So I would say yes anyone have an answer. Thanks

That's not the exact math...but I'm hoping another member can post up the math on that. You can't take the size of the carb and just double it....

to compare dual carbs to a single carb you have to find the flow area. A 28mm carb has the area of 615 square mm. A 38mm carb is 1134 square mm. So it actually has a smaller amount of flow than the 2 28s do at 1230mm.

don't want to steal you're thread but i was thinking about going that route also. just seems like it would be easier to jet and you probably won't burn your filters anymore(if you have inframes). idk how a single carb affects it performance wise though. is there any advantages as far as more power at certain RPMs over dual carbs? i'd like to know more about a single set-up too, if anyone has any experience with both. thanks in advance

Just get some cascade heat wraps. No more burnt filters. I would think that dual smaller carbs would be more responsive.

thanks for the advice, that make sense, i've seen old hot rods with triple deuces on them, always wondered why they didn't just run a big 4 barrell. must some benefits.

Well, back in the day large 4 barrel carbs were not available.

People use the deuces and stuff now for nostalgia sake, not performance. No carbs make more power than the big carbs you can buy today.

I run a graydon 2 into 1 with a 35mm pwk I went from using the stock carbs. I can say that from my experience that the dual carbs got better gas mileage for me but the 2 into 1 has way better response it's easier to tune and gives it that extra oomph that my banshee needed..............
