Different color colant with race fuel

Do you use a different color coolant when using race fuel or is still the green stuff?

Yeah. I don't know much about using race fuel (never owned anything that needed it before). some one told me that you should use a different color when using race fuel. just wondering if it's true.

race fuel is black. therefore you must use the RED antifreeze. Klotz sells an attitive called Supertechniplate that you mix w ur antifreeze... do that and it equalizes out the black race fuel... if it aint black its wack. remember that when shopping for fuel. :shrug:

You dont have to change coolant just because your running race fuel. If you want a coolant that cools a little better in the hot heat of summer run Engine Ice. It is blue. Why would the color have to do with anything?

I heard the blue makes you go faster than the green. The same goes for the power bands............ :yelrotflmao:

also a side note... the green coolant your talking about isnt a coolant, its anti-freeze, anti-freeze is for when people live in freezing temps to keep the water from turning to ice and cracking your radiator or block when it heats up and expands... it doesnt help the cooling of the motor... if you want your motor to run cooler you need a coolant like engine ice... or get some distilled water and some redline water wetter and mix some up...

Don't sweat it...

 

I had distilled water in mine all year, up until about 1 month ago, when it started getting cold.

Cracking a cub cylinder because of freezing temps is not how I wanted to end my year...LOL.

 

I put Prestone 50/50 mix in it this time, cause I was too damn lazy to mix it myself....and only to keep the system from freezing.

 

Getting ready to ice race, and on alky...if you overheat that kind of motor, you have bigger problems!

 

Engine Ice works great too...

Off topic, Where you ice race at? Lake st clair im assuming but do you go out by algonac off of m-23 at that DNR boat launch? If so ill see you out there this year.
