400ccStroker_shee Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 I heard when you get your cylinders ported you loss compression, with an aggressive dune port how much compression should I expect to loss? Thanks in advance for any info! Chris Quote
dajogejr Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Not as much as you'd lose if you took a few lines off that page long sig of yours....LOL. :yelrotflmao: Just playin... Probably a few PSI or so, maybe up to 10, but...with a dune port, not enough to worry about. Quote

400ccStroker_shee Posted November 13, 2006 Author Report Posted November 13, 2006 i tried to tell u its only a few lbs buster I know buster, I just wanted to see if anyone thought it would be more! I still need to borrow you compression tester! Not as much as you'd lose if you took a few lines off that page long sig of yours....LOL. :yelrotflmao: Just playin... Bansh-eman Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 when you type something it will fit a specific number of characters on one line then it automatically moves it to the next line.. you cant fit it all side by side if thats what your talking about... Quote
dajogejr Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Actually.... I meant the FIVE bikes you have listed in your sig, not the pics.... Quote
rocketboy Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 really depends on how aggresive the exhaust port is opened up, you can easily be down 10 +pounds of static compression with a hot dune port Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 whatever compression you lose can be made back up with a milled head or different size domes..most ppl who port have either one of those done anyway.. Quote
lowriderb Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 it all depends on what the person cutting the cylinders classifies as a dune port.. some builders go even farther to ask rider weight to adjust the port work to be rider specific.. round about guess you would probably lose 10 or more psi of static compression pretty easily..
