help me out, lets see what all of you did

ok you guys talked me into it. im keeping the protaper bars but i need to find a new spot for my ingnition and key. give me some ideas. i know alot of you have it hidden in some pretty cool spots so help me out. pics would be great and any tips are welcome.

I have moved my key to the left side of my quad. It fits perfect into the hole where the front bolt for your fuel tank goes, Thats where I have mine!! Works good and looks even better.

i seen some preety intresting key rigs,

 

most reasonble is bypassing it

 

second is , hide a key billet clamp crap

 

third is , bypassing it , however hiding a toggle switch. for a on/off ......... my buddy used to hide his between the actual front lower fender plastic , and the gas tank. Never saw exactly how he glued it or rigged it , thats where it was. epoxy works wonders

fourth :I have a ghetto tether on my old shee , i wired the key switch backwards ...... so when the key is in the off position the bike will start ( with or without key ), and the on position would turn the bike off. Needless to say if you have ure key swithc on plastics , just tie a string to the key...... u fall off it turns off. Happend to me when i was trying to hydroplane a mud put like a moron.........

my key is electrical taped to the ignition and stuffed instide the grill.pretty high tech huh?

Modquad hide-a-key. Looks better than a zip tie or electrical tape.

Mod quad billet bar is the way. Go to metal yard if you don't care about appearance. For a few bux they'll give you a piece of metal you can cut down and drill into.

Right behind the gas tank is a good spot, but it semms like it would be a pain in the ass to lift the seat off every time you needed to do something with the key................. :beer:

fuk it, a kill switch that will replace the ignition from harness.

I just cut the wires and sodered them together above the plug. So if I ever leave it somewere I can just unplug it and wayla no one can start it.

I took a piece of angle and placed it between the air box hanger holder, then had it chromed. It is out of the way, but still can be used without removing the seat. I will get a pic if you want.

a wire on my key switch busted so i just unpluged it, wired the wires together, but kept the key switch on. ill evenually get a new one, but for now this will work. ill just have to keep my eye on my 'shee in a crowd
