jakehopt Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 I've seen this done before, you'll need to have the parts that WON'T come apart pulling those kinds of speeds. Quote
DUNE-A-TIC Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Just when I think i've seen it all, someone does something cool again.I've seen a three wheeler with a Gixer in it.There used to be a member on here named Steve2000 that had the "BANZUKI",it was soooo cool, had all the working instrumentation and everything. locogato11283 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 banshee frame is a terrible one to put a streetbike motor in. you need a raptor frame. you will pretty much be cutting the frame all apart... Quote
DUNE-A-TIC Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 May try and PM Installerdrew, they hung out together back then. Dune Quote
BigRed350x Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 How's these pics for you? GSXR engine in an 87 J-Arm Banshee Frame. LOTS of frame work. I mean LOTS! Its pretty much a whole new frame. Then he went and put GAY-ASS raptor plastics on it and made it look even worse. Locogato is right, just get a raptor frame and do it right. Post up some pics of your raptor and show them how its supposed to look loco. Quote

BigRed350x Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Sorry, there is a pic of a normal raptor frame in there up towards the top. My bad. Got some pics confued when I was uploading. Quote

I know plenty of machinists that I wouldn't trust with building a square box out of tube steel. There's a lot more involved in it than just welding shit together. Good luck with your build though. Post pics as you go along. Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 damn that's nice!! paddle it!! haa.. Quote
banshee0044 Posted September 15, 2006 Author Report Posted September 15, 2006 like i said before..hes a good freind of mine..i know his abilities- he's not just some machinest from the shop next door fior example-i bent the piss out of the rear subframe of a banshee and had the subframe completely redone by him...just an example..i understand that this will be a little more complicated ill def. keep you guys posted with the progress..we are goin to yank the motor this weekend it will be a winter project for fun...i dont plan on building a machine like loco did..ill tell you now it wont be that nice...building a drivable gsxr banshee will satisfy me plenty Quote
DUNE-A-TIC Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Go for it man, try getting a hold of Drew.He is super cool and has a badass YFZ drag bike. They did alot of real neat things with the BANZUKI,wish I had kept the pic's..lol..about 10 computers ago..haha.. Dune Quote
Big Blue Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Just curious, but to me that bike looks a little nice to be trashing to build conversion out of. Quote

Yep. Or just scrapping the whole thing and building a frame from the ground up to suit your needs, which is a fuckin lot of work. Quote
