how much are you guys having to raise your bars on a stock length stem to reach over the IMS tank?

Just buy one!!...........Call IMS............your going to need it this season............I have a Longer Stem.......and I have more than enough room!!!!...........If you ask me a stock would fit fine...........I will post pics...........

anyone else running a stock stem with the tank? i dont really want to listen to this "Polish" character he gave my wife some advice and it endedup breaking my fan :baseball_bat:

I run one on my '02, and I never noticed a problem with the bars hitting/rubbing the tank. I run renthal banshee bends, which "curve" up a little higher then some of the other bends, but I still have enough room.

I picked mine up on here for $100 shipped from a guy that used it for one season. They are nice tanks, and they definately hold more gas then stock. I don't see them on here that much, did you try flea-bay? Here's a pic of mine on my bike with stock bars(which worked fine too), and missing the back fender.

No, in fact, when we make our tanks, they're made completely with stock components. However, you will have to trim the plastic to make it work. I've attached the instruction sheet so you have an idea of what is involved. Thanks!!

i was wondering if the IMS 5.6 gallon tank for a 2000 banshee will be ok running a stock stem? will i need a longer stem or anything to raise the bars to clear this tank?

i think the newer thaks are a little smaller than the older ims ones?? OR SO ive heard,, anyone can confirm thaT???

 

i had a 98 shee with the older ims tank on it,, and the bars JUST knicked it, , didnt affect anyting at all i had rentahals on at the time,, dont know about the newer ones

sure it wasnt the bend of the bars? nt sure if they changed any thing over time with the tanks.

have you looked at the clark tanks?they have vents in them so the air can pass through.i have the stock stem with the large bar adapters for my tag bars(spader bend) and it works fine.

ims has two sizes the 4 gallon and the 5.6 i think the 5.6 has the hitting issues.. i am in the market also any more pics of the 4 gallon installed from different angles. how well did it mount up to the grill and such.

i have seen it at hit touches,, evil has one just like the red tank pic not bad just touches and like he said pushes on it a little the blue tank is the 4 gallon .

just looking for more shots and how it fit the grill and such, mair fit too ans clear but i am not going to run out and by them because i know they fit like shit
