Good. There were some reserve units here that got to go to Yuma a couple months ago and weld up a big ass fence in the 120 degree weather. They got to come back after 3 weeks of that shit.

I'm about 250 miles NE, give or take, but yeah expect triple digits during the daytime, the whole state has been getting hammered with rain lately, some flooding in nearby El Paso, TX (Fort Bliss, might be where you're operating from). There's not much of anything in Deming, small town on the Interstate in the middle of nowhere. Last time I was through that way they had "caution dust storm area" signs on the highway for miles before and after Deming. There's a tiny little town called Columbus straight south of Deming, right on the border, supposedly where Pancho Villa came across for some raids heh. Perfect place for some live-fire "exercises" if ya ask me...and I do love the sound of miniguns  Come to think of it, they oughta skip the whole fence thing and just designate about a 10-mile swath of the border as a bombing/firing range...with warning signs in English of course :flamewar:

Ben, I think its ironic there is any army base near you called Fort Bliss....maybe if it were like the playboy mansion. But army? no.......

I think we are flying out of las cruses (sp?) but we are staying at Deming in a hotel. The whole minigun and live firing range cool but I think we are just getting our 9mm. :yankyank: I sure hope there is a couple of good bars there?

One of my best friends is a Mormon, and he got sent on a mission to Las Cruses NM for his 2 year stint.

He said it was the low rider capital of the world, and also the only place he'd ever seen where sunday services had smoke breaks.

He also sent me a picture of him and his missionary buddy, standing beside a guy holding 2 MJ plants about 4 feet tall.

Other than that he said it was like sticking your head in an oven and trying to breathe.
